Since my health crisis, I’ve decided to get back in the gym and now that my energy and stamina is returning, I’ve been hitting it hard in a big way. The past couple of days I’ve been getting some really good pumps in my pecs and biceps and I feel great. I can’t wait for Spirit Bomb to report on his pumps in the near future. But it all of you, take charge of you health while you still got it and chase those pumps!

What health crisis have you had? My family has a bad history of heart related problems and I had a bit of a heart issue that required a week’s hospitalization back in April. Only until now have I felt like I have the strength to get really good pumps when I’m working out. It’s like I’m cumming in the gym!

I've been doing a lot of planks lately, but that's just because I had a girl over for the last 2 days, she just left a couple hours ago, so I'm kind of resting now, but it was a good workout too.

The core is something I’ve always had the most difficulty working. I can’t get a pump or even mild soreness in them no matter who hard I work them. I applaud you for being able to get a good core workout in.

What's your routine like? Day one is back and biceps. It goes three sets, ten reps of wide grip cable rows supersetted with barbell rows. Then three sets, 10 reps of dumbbell rows supersetted with deadlifts. If I'm really feeling it, I should be pouring sweat by now. Finish the back up with three sets of lat pulldows to really get the blood flowing then move on to biceps. Arms are a weak point for e so I like to throw extra sets in here. Start with dumbbell curls for five sets of ten reps. Next is ez bar curls for another 5 sets, then finish my day with 5 sets of preacher curls, 20 reps or absolute failure. Day two is chest and triceps. Week to week I alternate between barbell and dumbbell presses. Start with standard flat bench press with a superset of dumbbell flies, Five sets for ten reps each movement. Then do incline presses for five sets ten reps. Finish with dumbbell overheads lying on a flat bench to stretch the pecs out and get some extra blood in there. Learned about that from four time Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler and it is fantastic. For triceps, start with five sets of skull crushers. Next overhead cable extensions with the rope. Next is a superset of regular rope extensions followed by straight bar pushdowns for five sets. Last I burn myself out doing three sets at 30 seconds of this crazy rope pulling machine. Day three is shoulders, so its nice and short. Four sets of either military presses, or dumbbell presses if a rack isn't free. Next is four sets of Arnold dumbbell presses. Do some flies, extensions, and some shrugs and call it a day. Day four is legs. Now this one is tough because I love squats but when I'm feeling it, I tend to over do it to the point where I burn my legs out so bad I can't run or anything. My legs are probably the best area so now I keep it light. Go to the machine area fir three sets of leg presses, leg curls, and leg extensions and I'm done. Day five is exclusively cardio. usually 15 minutes of sustained jogging then 15 minutes of intervals. Day six I lap swim for 30 minutes to an hour depending on how busy it is. I don't like sharing lanes so often I have to cut the swimming short, but its still pretty enjoyable. Sunday I take off and rest my bones.
