TV show discussion of the week: X-Play

I enjoyed X-play a lot in its original form when still hosted by Sessler and Morgan Webb. Eventually like most shows it went to shit in its last seasons when it underwent radical changes, but nobody remembers X-play for those episodes. Everyone remembers it for the quality coverage on games in the form of reviews and entertaining top 10 lists.

This was a particularly useful show for me back in the day because I watched it before my house had high-speed internet, so it was a reliable source of quality game reviews before I had access to ones on the web. And it also introduced me to a lot of series/games as a kid that I had never heard of, like Deus Ex Invisible War (which I remember them featuring in a top ten list once).

One thing that genuinely bugs me isn't related to the show itself, but the fact that, like a lot of shows, it has never been released on home media, meaning that many of their reviews/lists/content are now lost. Even though an extensive number of their reviews have been uploaded to Youtube, there are still many reviews and top 10 lists I remember seeing (and enjoying) that I can't find on the platform. That REALLY sucks. So annoying. A DVD release containing every uncut episode would be awesome.

Overall, it was a fun show. I am rating it a 4/5.

I think I've figured out Cobretti's thought pattern. This post basically translates to: "What?? This nerdy Sessler wimp gets to be around a smoking hot babe and I don't?? This ain't fair! I gotta KILL this dweeb!"

Unless you give a valid reason why you think Adam Sessler is a "piece of shit", I will stick with this theory.

You alpha males are all the same; doing everything in your power to destroy any nerd or effeminate guy who gets more attention from women than you do. As someone who's an IRL nerd I don't think I want to talk to you anymore, Cobretti. 

First of all, my game with the ladies cannot be questioned. I’m a smooth mack daddy. Morgan Webb wouldn’t even touch a guy like Sessler’s pee pee, much less let him stick his (probably rather small) cock in her. 

Second, Sessler talks tough on Twitter, but one look at him, you can tell he’s way too bitch made to ever back it up. He’d run at the first sign of adversity, guaranteed. 

Three, he’s BALD. 

I never lurk on Twitter so I wouldn't know about Sessler's tweets. But I don't think this is reason enough to denounce him as a "coked out piece of shit". You literally made it sound like he was akin to Charlie Sheen, the kind of scumbag who free bases/does a few lines of coke and then goes on a punching spree at a party, or beats up his GF/ex while coked up. I did some quick internet searches on Sessler and failed to find anything indicating he was an asshole or ever did narcotics.

As for his hairline, well, what can you do. My second cousin has been balding ever since he turned 17. Some guys just lose hair before its normal to due to medical conditions. I don't think it's a sure sign of drug abuse.
