Full title: The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian (wouldn't fit in the thread title) by Sherman Alexie  ![]() Essentially a half-true autobiography, the novel chronicles the early life of native american writer Sherman Alexie and the countless struggles his community faced within the indian reservation where he grew up. It also adds numerous fictional aspects regarding Alexie's interests, relationships, and experience at school. Has anyone here read it? If so, tell me what you thought of it. |

No one here but you has read it, I guarantee it. Probably not, but they definitely should. It's an easy read that's insightful, tragic, and humorous. I doubt many novels covering modern native american life and written BY a true native american exist. |

I have plan to read this novel but heard good review about it. Regardless of whether or not you're an american citizen, it's a truly eye-opening book. It has my seal of approval, so give it a read, if you please. |
