 I noticed that G4 TV never gave an official/public explanation for Sessler's termination from X-Play in 2012. What are your theory's for why he was fired from the show? Do you think he was stealing money from the studio? Did he sexually harass a female co-worker (possibly Morgan Webb)? Did he punch a stage-crew member in a feud? Did he have an out-of-control drug problem that we never knew about which was harming his career? Makes me wonder.... |

I think it's because he didn't want to keep making biased reviews so the network could take money under the table to artificially make bad games seem good and sell more copies to the stupid masses that buy games solely based on "professional review scores" (read: paid advertisements).

You know, I never thought of that. But it's certainly plausible. Gamespot fired Jeff Gerstmann for not giving a game (Kane and Lynch) a good review, so it's not unthinkable that another gaming network would do the exact same thing to another reviewer. Although, wouldn't it mean that Sessler would've had to give a bad review for a paid-review for him to get fired? If so, then I wonder what game it was? Otherwise he could've just simply retired from his position at X-Play. |
