Since yesterday, 9/23, was Nintendo's birthday, I figured we should talk about it here. Has anyone ever owned their card games? I love card games, and I was quite the avid Spades player when I was in the Marine Corps. I played in a lot of tournaments when I was deployed to South Korea. I might buy some for the heck of it, although I don't have the slightest clue as to how you play it. Karuta cards have a beautiful art design, and they look like quite the collectables.

I never had, but when the Pokémon card collecting craze was around, it felt like it suited the nature of Nintendo very well, even more than the actual games. I was never into it, but it felt like most people were.

Those cards would be worth quite a bit to the right people. I think I see a few Thai royals on those cards, and I see one of them with a big moustache, like a proto-proto-Mario.
And it's just like Sega, Sony and Nintendo. They didn't start out as game companies but all went on to be major players.
