People are just nuts, the format is insanely good looking. If you ever get a projector, get at least a 120" screen for it, anyone that says that isn't beautiful is straight up looney.

So they've announced a new Star Wars movie, and this guy's directing. Right now the fanboys are heckling skeptical people calling them toxic for not thinking this man is God himself. I feared this day would come. Star Wars doesn't have a good track record nowadays, so I shouldn't care that much who takes a shot at it, but I'm still disappointed it's going to be this guy as he has the same comedy in every movie he makes and I've never enjoyed it. I personally think they should just reboot Star Wars and wipe out the entire timeline besides episodes 4,5 and 6. Re do episode 1,2 and 3 with the original ideas that make sense with a good director and not give it to some new comer who has just a couple of good movies under their belt like they did with JJ abrams and that other guy. |

These stories are from long long time ago from galaxies far far away, it wouldn't surprise me if the so called Galactic Federation is somehow influencing some of those decisions.

I don't agree on wiping the prequels or remakinh anything, but I could only wish they wiped all of Disney's produced movies. At this point, I can only hope for something completely original from someone who truly understands Star Wars like George Lucas did. Love or hate the prequels, at least they were completely original in their story telling. The new Star Wars projects always include so much fan service and it makes me groan. Stop with the Ashoka and Darth Maul inclusion into everything. The worst part for me personally is that everyone seem to love it. |

Things that resonate with people are not just coincidences, they usually underline some level of influential interests, and the best way to do this is with allegoric references to deeper concepts everyone can relate with at least at a subconscious level, even if they would present it as a parody, or with a comedic light.
It serves capitalism too, so it is like killing many birds at once. I find it interesting because capitalism is being used as a tool instead of an end goal, even if on the surface appears to be the other way around.

Disney also announced a myriad of shows and plans for their new Star Wars and MCU line up, and I found it kind of disgusting. I don't know exactly why, but it feels like there is so much money and corporate decisions in these products. I feel bad that Star Wars has been reduced to an investment instead of someone passionate vision. They're covering all bases from kid friendly-ness and fan service to female SJW centered shows. Fuck Disney man.

At this point I just ignore the SJW agenda altogether, usually they're just a bunch of wackos, no worth stressing over, and since they are involved in almost all media, it is better to ignore it.

They should have had you in charge dude. I'd 100% watch whatever you'd commission from the franchise. Honestly I like the idea of the Obi-Wan series and appreciate that they brought the prequel actors back in principle, so I would have done that. I’m not really a Star Wars fan, but I know they’ve done a lot of world building. I would have leveraged that. Honestly, just do a film version of kotor and not mess around with the story too much. |

I like Taika Waititi. I have only seen two of his films (and three shorts) and I like them both. I thought What we do in the shadows was hilarious and I also enjoyed Thor Ragnarok a lot. Really looking forward to watching JoJo Rabbit and the other movies he has made. I don't mind that he will direct a Star Wars movie, but I am not jazzed at the reveal of the millions of shows they are planning now. Just watch one of them flop and Disney canceling like half the shows.

Have them all go at once, reach oversaturation, cancel most of them and plenty of fans will get terrible endings or no endings and will taint their views on Star Wars as a brand. |
