This week, I would like to discuss a special little electric vehicle with the pub: the CitiCar  (shoutout to centipede for introducing me to this little blast from the past) It was an entry-level electric gem from the 70s that never caught on with the general public and thus ceased production eons ago. What do you guys think of it? Please discuss. |

No joke, I DESPERATELY want an electric car like the CitiCar. Electric cars here in the USA tend to be very pricey, difficult to find, and the models few and far in between. It's very frustrating. I also don't understand why the few electric cars being sold here aren't compact, entry-level designs like the CitiCar, which would suit my lifestyle much better than an average-sized car like the Chevy Volt, which is far bigger than I need and thus I would be paying for more than I want.
I can excuse all of the crappy design flaws the CitiCar has because I absolutely love EVERYTHING else about it: the sharp, angular, compact design, the initial price tag, and of course the environmentally-friendly nature of its electric motor.
I demand that it be given updated parts and be mass-produced again for everyone to buy & enjoy. I proudly award the CitiCar a 5/5. It's the car of my dreams.

Looking back at the Citi Car, isn't it sad that America makes more of a push towards electric vehicles during gas shortages than they do during a global environmental epidemic like climate change?
It's a real shame because, with modern technology, an EV of the Citi Car's size would require less electricity than a Leaf or a Cyber Truck, making it more environmentally friendly.
