As an expert, I love cramping up my hands with a crappy controller. It gives me the challenge I need to feel like Grandma with extreme arthritis!

Most people don't realize how expensive games were back then. I paid $95 for Killer Instinct, $125 for Super Street Fighter II, and $150 for Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. I never got into RPGs because those were all super expensive as well.
When he says games only cost $120, I'm just thinking those are 80s $120, which is a lot of money, and he is advertising that as if it was a cheap fixed price.
To be fair something like DOA costs around $500 if you count the DLCs, but for the most part games are really cheap compare to back them.
I bought FIFA 19 for $2.49, and NBA 2K 19 for $2.49 as well, both on a sale, then MLB 19 was free on Plus. This is why our backlogs keep growing.
That said the quality of gameplay was superior back then, so the high price is understandable. Just look at all the Neo Geo cartridges that costs over $300 each.
On top of that many of those games have maintained their price value even after decades went by, some are even more expensive now.
By the way, I didn't know US had an arcade team captain. That's pretty cool. It would awesome rolling to the Olympics and getting gold for your country for being a pro at arcade cabinets.
