This is literally insane. I just find out about it by watching a video like this. It brings Virtua pinball to a whole new level.
You can use PS2's EyeToy, PS3's Eye Camera, Wii's sensor bar, Kinect, and Kinect 2. I'm not sure about PS4's motion tracker, but it probably works too.
I'm just amazed how cool this mode is.

That shit looks like it's from the year 3000. And the fact that it can take advantage of my nearly-forgotten EyeToy is even crazier.

Holy cow, that's awesome! A lot of the videos available are from 6 years ago, and I'm just seeing this now?!?! I love the versatility of the program. From Wiimotes to the Oculus Rift, they have you covered. I wish a ready made kit existed, because I'd love to get one for my Dad.

Apparently if you ask, you shall receive. Arcade 1 Up is going to make 3/4 sized digital pinball machines. They will actually have tactile feedback too. I know it won't be VR...yet. I'm sure it won't be long until it is figured out.

I'm sure it won't be long until it is figured out. I was looking at those. I think they are going to be great if you want to save space, but I probably will be getting a bigger one. I like the Rec Room Master ones. I think they fit 40 inches at least, I'm just not sure if they provide BAM mode yet, I may have to look elsewhere because I really want BAM mode. My only regret is that I have all the tables for Pinball FX3 on PS4, but in order to get the vertical view you need the Steam version, and it sucks because I don't want to buy all those tables again. To be fair I do enjoy playing them on the PS4, even my fight stick is modded for that purpose, but once I get the virtual pinball it seems the PS4 version won't be compatible. |
