Does anyone collect game memorabilia seriously? I never have, since "I've got bills to pay; I've got mouths to feed, and ain't nothin' in this world is free." However, I have always wanted to. On some other forums, I have come across collectors of Japanese figurines. They look amazing, and they obviously pay top dollar for quality craftsmanship. These things look great, but at $200 a pop, I can't afford it. Here is the latest I've seen for KOS-MOS:

I used to collect tons of game memorabilia. I had the limited edition MUSHA figure as well as many of Neo Geo, Capcom and Dreamcast stuff like posters, Key chains, flags and figurines. There's a lot I missed out on which I now regret not buying like a King of Fighters 98 banner/flag made from fabric which just had the King of fighters 98 logo on it, and a little metal ken figurine based on the Chinese street fighter comics. will probably never see those items for sale ever again.

Did you have that one? It looks badass, if you ask me! Did you sell your collection? I'm afraid if I start collecting anything, I'll probably end up getting rid of it eventually. I guess that is why I stick to T-shirts only.

I guess that is why I stick to T-shirts only. I sold my collection. I for one don'rt regret selling all my stuff because I realised that they were of no real use and just took up space. I do regret buying them and spending all that money just to decorate my room with cool looking plastic. The only things i kept were the ones that aren't even worth anything which are my traditional Chinese charms and wall scrolls and SNK posters which have more personal value to me than material. in my experience, no one keeps this kind of stuff for ever. When i was at Neo-Geo.com we had an entire section of the forum dedicated to memorabilia and collectables, and it all seems that this collecting stuff is just a fad that every one seems to get over after a while and sell everything if not regret they bought it in the first place.

I figured that much. I have often wondered if the special edition of games ever stay all that "special." I've heard that resellers sometimes just give that stuff away once the "special editions" have become a generation old or two.

If I ever get the chance, I like to get my hands on memorabilia of older games. I have an unopened box with an unmade Phantasy Star character model in it, plus 2 PSO posters and a music album. PSO2 is a bit too anime for me, though, if that makes sense.
I also have a stash of retro Sonic merch, including this story book and an awesome T-shirt from when the Sega Club existed here.
I want to get my hands on something for R-Type in the future.

I always wanted Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 action figures, but they have never made any good ones that look as good as the characters in the game.
Mortal Kombat has been terrible overall when it comes to action figures. It is truly disgraceful because I truly love their visual presentation for the characters.

I'm happy that Nintendo announced the Pyra and Mythra Amiibos today. The PVC Good Smile 1:7 Scale figurines go for around $300 each.

I'd be fine with small stuff like those late 90s vinyl toys & keychains. I remember Sega had seemingly hundreds of little Evangelion figurines that looked cool. SD gundam figures as well(even though I never got into the show. Poser!).
Oh, and famicom cartridges and boxes, plus late 80s Nintendo cards and stickers. That era of Mario & Zelda art is terrific.

I try to use a locally owned pharmacy instead of Walgreens and CVS. My kids were checking out the odds and ends aisles, and my daughter yelled out to me to check this out: Never in my life did I expect to see Final Fantasy VII music boxes in a pharmacy, but here we are. They have a copywrite of 1997, but I'm not sure if they were made then. They were $40 a pop, and I don't need more stuff, but it was cool to see.

The fact that your kids recognize it as well, not just you, is quite remarkable. What a cool thing.
