When I was a kid my cousin gave me his entire TMNT collection, among other collections like his G.I. Joe collection, his Transformers collection, and his Star Wars collection. I was looking through the action figures to remember exactly which ones I had. I'm actually considering getting them again just for nostalgic reasons because I found the exact ones I had: Well at least those are the ones I'm missing, in reality I'm missing hundreds because they had multiple editions of everything, and many more characters as well. However I feel I would be satisfied just getting those again, which are the ones I had as a kid thanks to my cousin. What happens is that he was already too old for toys, so I was lucky to be many years younger, and when he wanted to get rid off all his toys, he just gave them to me. My favorite was Donatello. I actually dressed up as a detective with the exact same trenchcoat and hat, for a Halloween. Edit: I reduced the images to the ones I'm actually nostalgic about.

Oh man, you just brought back so many memories. My brothers really got into collecting these as kids, and they unloaded so much of their birthday and Christmas money into these. When they truly understood the concept of money in jr. high, they were so pissed at themselves. I really liked the original toys, though. I really liked surfer Mikey for some reason. I also remember Muck-Man, because one of my brothers burned a soldering iron through his stomach in high school while whining about not having any money. Of course, back then eBay wasn't a thing, and no one would have bought that from him then. Now he is annoyed at his wanton destruction. What a strange triggered set of brain cells you reactivated.

Your brothers would be the equivalent of my cousin. Thanks to him I got to enjoy these as a kid. I was actually considering getting my old X-Men figures too, but I like the new ones better. Someone posted these on Reddit, which are the new ones, and honestly they are a lot better than the originals from the 90s. They have Archangel, Iceman, Colossus, Omega Red, Bishop, Apocalypse, Sabertooth, Rogue, Cyclops, Psylocke, Mystique, and Wolverine. I feel those are actually perfect, only missing Jean Grey, Storm, Magneto, and Gambit, but I'm sure they have them too. I would also get Juggernaut, Cable, Morph, Forge, Mister Sinister, Morph, Beast, Dazzler, Nightcrawler, Jubilee, Deadpool, and perhaps a big Sentinel if they have it. Other less important ones for me that I wouldn't mind having would be Genesis, Pyro, Sunfire, Warpath, Avalanche, Northstar, Wolfsbane, Nimrod, Havok, Quicksilver, Polaris, Shard, Aurora, Domino, Scarlet Witch, Emma Frost, Kitty Pryde, and Professor X.

Nice collection of X-Men you got there. They don't make cartoons like that anymore.
TMNT cam to Oz a bit later. I had the main good guys, like Leonardo, Michelangelo, etc plus Shredder and a foot soldier. Plus I had three different turtle cycles. As a kid, you wanted them all! Including the turtle van and turtle blimp. They actually went overboard and just approved toy designs will-nilly, didn't they? Movie monster turtles, farmer turtles, sports turtles...
In the last 12 months, particularly after Mum sold the house, I sold a lot of my TMNT toys. I'm not sure what I've got left over, but I know I still have Tokka with all his original gear and his good health. I'll want a good price for him.

scipioafricanus bought the new Shredder for my son for Christmas 2 or 3 years ago, and I was incredibly impressed with the quality of the craftsmanship. The joints move in all sorts of directions, and they put the old action figures to shame. It was made in Japan, and when we compared it to his Chinese made counter part, it was leaps and bounds better. I love seeing how toys have evolved for the better over the last couple of decades.

Those are not mine, someone posted them on Reddit, they are part of the 2018 / 2019 Marvel Legends I believe, but now that I saw them, I want them. If I'm correct Wolverine was indeed Australian in Konami's X-Men, but in the cartoons he is Canadian. Well, at least the voices. By the way, I also had many Street Sharks. I think they may still be on my dad's house somewhere if they haven't thrown them yet. The ones I put the crowns on ^^^, are the ones I was missing, but I had the other seven.

The TMNT and Transformers toys from the 80's was the best toy run of all time. Even better than He-man, Ghostbusters and Thundercats toys (although they were great also).

I had a big He-Man, but I didn't have any Ghostbusters, or ThunderCats. I got those toys during the 90s, and I got them from my cousin, so I was basically limited to what he had. That said, I had a crazy amount of G.I. Joe like this Beachhead: From Transformers I had Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream, Shockwave, Soundwave, Skywarp, Inferno, Prowl, Ratchet, Skyfire, Sideswipe, and Omega Supreme. I also had all the Stunticons, but those they bought for me because I still remember the purple box where they came in. Some toys were not from my cousin, like the X-Men I had, and the Street Sharks, those I got new for Christmas. In fact, most 80s cartoons were still massively popular during the 90s.

I actually still have my TF toys: Optimus Prime, Air Raid, Blades, Cindersaur, Rotorstorm, Stalker the scud launcher, plus a few offbrand ones. I also have a couple of newer ones. They are Titans Return/Fall of Cybertron Blaster and Soundwave.

As a kid I was never able to afford the full scale Transformers toys, but only the miniature Hot Wheels sized ones which I still loved.

Now that you guys mention Hot Wheels, Hot wheels in general were a lot of fun to collect too, and building those massive ramps. I feel Hot Wheels is a big reason why I still like racing games to this day. In terms of action figures, making this thread makes me wish I was more careful with my toys as a kid. Right now there are only three action figures in the whole house, which is Mine Of Benethosh Eta from Saint Seiya, the Ryu statue that came with Street Fighter V, and a Halo 3 statue I got recently. Funny story, we used to move from house to house a lot when I was a kid, and at one of the houses we lived in there was a wall of cement blocks that wasn't finished, but it was already very tall, so I felt it was a good place to play battles using a stool to reach. Well, playing there I lost 6 of 7 Power Rangers because those blocks were hollow. Basically I would make them fight each other, and if I dropped one by accident that was the one that lost. By the end, when I realized I was not going to be able to get them out I decided to leave Tommy the White Ranger behind with the others, by making him jump saying that he was going to rescue the others, including the green version of himself. Needless to say I firmly believe those Rangers are still among those walls till this day. They were the cheap kind though, the ones made of elastic material, but I kind of regret doing that because they still looked very accurate to the TV show. In terms of Dragon Ball Z action figures we used to have pretty much everyone from the Majin Boo saga in their respective Majin Boo saga costumes, but my brother kept those, so I don't know if he still has them.
