I have a collection of modern Transformers. I sold a few last year to avoid it reaching critical mass, but they were quickly replaced with others I hadn't had before.
I formerly had Cybertronian Megatron, Optimus, Shockwave and Sideswipe, TF Prime Cliffjumper, TF2 Hubcap, but since then I've bought FoC Blaster and Soundwave. Also Crosshairs (pictured above), paired up with Pteraxion (pterodactyl/axe).
I've seen Trypticon for $300 in Toyworld, but I've been a very good boy and resisted temptation to buy it.
Funnily enough, I still have my old TF toys from when I was a kid. I had Optimus, Air Raid, Cindersaur and Blades, plus Stalker and Rotorstorm. I also have some new-ish Transformers still in their boxes, which I'm holding as investment pieces I can sell further down the track.

It is nice to have someone in the forum that likes this stuff. I got recently hooked into seeing these figures when I made the TMNT thread, and accidentally discovered that they keep making them. They look badass. I don't blame you for being careful with the money because having an entire collection sounds really pricey nowadays. I feel pre-ordering before they get released is the best way to save money on them.

I saw Metroplex for about $150, around 10 years ago. That would've been perfect to go with Trypticon. But Titans Return Soundwave and Blaster are smaller . They both transform into boomboxes, but slight moves turn them into mini-bases for their recordicons.
I'm not so much concerned about getting the leet versions of characters, unless they're meant to be investment pieces. However, I want to get my hands on a genuine Soundwave that plays music. Or perhaps, one of hte Shattered Glass figures. Very rare! Here's something that could almost be from Shattered Glass. This guy's expensive too:

Metroplex and Fortress Maximum usually come about the same size. You can also 3D print them like this guy did: The only ones that are impossible to scale are Primus and Unicron since those are way too big.

How many hours and hundreds of dollars worth of filament is that?! I want there to be a database where you can 3D print missing bits and pieces for your old toys. Extra missiles and new parts.

Extra missiles and new parts. Sounds like a great idea, this is very likely to exist already. Megaplex may actually be bigger than that. It really depends on how small your other toys are. It usually is about the same size of Fortress Maximus. Masterpiece sizes between them look like this:

Yeah, Unicron has always been massive. He is suppose to be the size of the Earth.
In terms of toys I remember he was bigger than Fortress Maximum, and that one was huge already.
