So the other day I was playing CS Source at a wifi spot and noticed that my computers performance was absolute dog shit. So dog shit, in fact, that the game was almost unplayable because of constant stuttering and hick-ups. Usually I attribute performance issues like this to Win 10 updates, but considering that there had been a Win 10 update no more than 2 days prior, I ruled this out, since I thought it would make no sense for Microsoft to throw another update right after one that just happened.
But I was wrong; when I closed the game, I noticed my system telling me to restart my machine to install a Windows 10 update.
WHAT THE FUCK
What's the deal, Microsoft??? Why are you piling OS updates on top of another in such a rapid succession? Why don't you have any consideration for your user base and the performance problem these updates tend to cause?
The way I see it, there's absolutely no excuse for Microsoft forcing anything more that one update per week. Fuck off with this update every-other-day approach, Microsoft, because it's really, REALLY getting on my nerves. I've already spammed my negative review of Windows 10 on at least three different websites, but now I'm itching to spam it on at least ten more.
Is anyone else utterly annoyed at the frequency of Windows 10 updates? Have they disrupted gaming sessions for anyone else here?

I hate it when it restarts your computer without your permission. It sucks.

My brother's laptop gets fucked up after an update every now and then. It's a pain in the ass.

My brother's laptop gets fucked up after an update every now and then. It's a pain in the ass. Yikes. I don't think that's ever happened to me, thankfully. Usually these OS updates only disrupt my laptop performance during usage as apposed to afterwards. I should probably get in the habit of just turning off automatic updates in my system's settings. I used to do that with my desktop PC back when I lived with internet support and I remember it solved the problem.

Yep, the auto updates suck. I preferred when the system just told you that there was an update and you chose if you wanted it or not, in Windows 10 it just updates without your consent. On my main pc I never had serious problems (except once, when it somehow created a new partition and kept bugging me that it had no available memory or something), but on my laptop a major update simply broke the OS to the point that it wouldn't start and I had to reinstall it.
It sure as hell is annoying when you get updates very close to each other, sometimes just one day apart. On the Windows settings, Updates section, there is an option to "Pause updates for seven days", you might want to try that. On "advanced options" in the same tab, you can pause it for longer, for more or less a month.

So fucking irritating. That's one reason I'm glad I don't have internet service at my apartment: I no longer have to worry about stupid system updates crashing my gaming sessions.

You know, I just realized something: I don't think there's been a single Windows 10 update since the Corona Virus Pandemic started two months (take or give) ago. Has anyone else noticed this? I wonder why this is...
