It does look like Blockbuster all over again, but you never know, we are still getting a new Atari, and a new Intellivision, I think we even got a Commodore 64 Mini at some point, so brand names always have a chance to stick around for a while. No one's ever really gone.

No one's ever really gone. 🤣😂😅 it is a Mortal Kombat scenario, Milena can come back any second, even though I don't care for her, and I actually want RoboCop.

Maybe Reggie worked with the stock market insanity that has happened in the last few days. Have any of you seen the craziness of the stock? It was $3.81 in February of 2020. Over the last few days people starting doubling down on short sales, which would have killed the company. But it seems an internet movement has started pumping in money to ruin the short sellers. The stock was worth $147.98 at the bell today! Now, I'm not the biggest fan of the company, but this is hilarious. People who make money off of failing companies or currencies disgust me. Short sells aren't evil, since it actually does prevent fraud in the market place (IE companies claiming to have large projections of income that are clearly exaggerated are short sold, and in a way, it prevents the company from lying its way back from the grave.), but there are some who make their millions and billions off of companies and currencies failing. These short selling guys are really going to hurt after this.

I've been following this movement since its inception because it started at r/wallstreetbets. I was quite surprised when they actually managed to execute their plan and push Citron's shit in by ruining their short positions. It's a house of cards though, GameStop really is not worth this amount of money. It could topple any day, but I wouldn't hedge against it rising again, because the sheer idiotic power of r/wallstreetbets is not something to scoff at apparently.

I wouldn't value this stock anywhere near its current value; however, this is something to be watched! Although I wonder if this will add enough capitol to keep them afloat another year or so. When Childs World sued Toys R Us, I believe that kept them around for another year.

All you can find are the big grocery stores that have leftover stock from the 360 and One generation but for some reason still have the same pricing they would have 5-10 years ago.

This story keeps getting more and more interesting.
A hedge fund bailed out the hedge fund which tried to short sale Game Stop into oblivion. Then they try to halt buying, but encourage selling so the short sales go through.
"Experts" are now saying that more "regulations" are needed, just because they aren't getting their way. Because they were caught with their pants down, they also suggested that foreign nations or "hackers" were the reason for this happening.
Then President Biden's press secretary answered a question about this oddball situation with, "Well, I'm also happy to repeat that we have the first female Treasury secretary and a team that's surrounding her." The rest of the response was typical deflection for "I don't have a clue," however, I find it funny that currently this one stock is the talk of DC.
After all of that confusion both Democrats AND Republicans took to social media to say that the hedge funds are completely in the wrong, and halting purchases of the stock is out and out wrong. (They actually CAN work together on something!)
This whole story is getting weirder and weirder.

$325 a share right now. It had dropped to $125 or so when they illegally stopped the purchase of the stock. I wonder what has changed?

Yeah, the whole thing is a very shocking precedent, and it makes me wonder what measures would they take to prevent stuff like that in the future. They are probably thinking about those ideas already.
The whole thing comes down that most forms of control feel threatened because technology allows more people to communicate, so shadow banning online communities, or key individuals is the best strategy for them.

Apparently, the stock is all over the place again. Game Stop Option PoppingBy the way, I love that they've all accepted the term "meme stock" in the industry.

If you haven't heard, Non Fungible Tokens are some kind of blockchain art. Originally meant to be a way for artists to easily claim ownership of their art online, it's now either a Ponzi scheme or just plain money laundering, along with the potential for your art to be outright stolen and digitally 'minted' into an NFT. Yet, there are fools parting with their money to buy these, hoping they will be the big things in the future like Pokemon cards. BTW this is what your average NT looks like: or this ...yeah. I've read bad things about GameStop, but this could really sink them now.
