No description? I know it's tedious to write the year and director etc. but I like to read it.
Btw the full title of the film is Super Mario Brothers: Great Mission to Rescue Princess Peach

Watched it with the original language and here's what I think about it:
"This was at least better than the live action Super Mario film. This is an animated movie aimed at kids and for good reasons, Super Mario has always been aimed at kids, however, the games are also fun for adults to play. This film however, is not fun for adults. It is faithful to the game as much as possible I guess. Princess Peach has been kidnapped and is to be married to Bowser, and Mario and Luigi is sent out to rescue her; basic stuff, but the game has not much more going for it. Most of the items in the game are represented in some way, so I have to give credit where credit is due. Still, this film has an awful lot of dialogue and not much action. I cannot see how kids would care for that much talk in their cartoons. It did not want to kill myself watching this, but it is not that long either. Best thing I have seen based of the Super Mario franchise since the competition for that recognition is not exactly stiff." 2/5

The live-action film had a so-bad-it's-good thing about it, while this anime is shallow and unremarkable. Songs were just thrown in, the animation was bog standard and the ending was a bummer. Poor Mario!
But at least it was more faithful to the source material than the other one. Still, I'd pick a mind-numbing Mario Bros. Super Show marathon over this any day.

Still, I'd pick a mind-numbing Mario Bros. Super Show marathon over this any day. It's still the best adaptation.
