AVGN had a great run and is still putting out entertaining episodes. But it's come to a point where James's best videos aren't his AVGN episodes but his other projects like James and Mike Mondays and especially his Rental Reviews.
I highly recommend to check out the rental reviews. They are great and have a Siskel and Ebert show kind of quality to them. Great that James can still produce great quality videos after all this time.

I like the Retro Rental show a lot, but I wish they would discuss some more interesting movies because some of these picks have been weird and not very interesting. The latest episode for instance is about a movie that is a little bit weird but not highly entertaining to discuss. But I do love the episodes where they discuss interesting movies, especially those movies where some of the crew have some attachment to it, like Under Siege (that one was great).

And at the moment they're doing an ape theme because it's APEril, lol. But they are mostly very good imo. I just wanted to bring some awareness to the show for those who may not know or really looked into it. |

I don't keep up with Rental Reviews every week but have watched a lot of them. I haven't seen anything from APEril yet but I should atleast to see how the quarantine vids are even though none of the four movies this month are of particular interest to me.

I haven't subscribed to this channel. But if I remember correctly that's the same guy that said The Big Lebowski is the most overrated movie of all time, which means that guy has good common sense, so I can see myself interested to see this show. Thanks for sharing.

If they are doing Steven Seagal movies it means they know the good stuff. It sounds like a subscribe worth it channel. |

Thanks for sharing. LOL I love Big Lebowski. I think James's missing the point or went into it with incredibly high expectations. i did the same with the Black Panther movie. Went into Black Panther expecting the greatest film ever because of how people react to it but came out hating it because it didn't live up to my expectations. I think the Black Panther is an incredibly overrated movie and just abut as good as the Iron Man movies and not better. |

For me, it was Forrest Gump. lol Recently it would have been Parasite if I still let hype for movies build me up like it used to. I liked that movie but didn't think it was amazing. |
