My son and I were dreaming about Breath of the Wild II, and I was thinking about the E3 video from last year. Do any of you think that the undead baddie in the video looks like Demise from Skyward Sword?
2019 Trailer:
I know in the end of Breath of the Wild, Zelda states that Gannon had given up on reincarnation, so it could have something to do with that. However, at the end of Skyward Sword, Demise promises that he will always return as a bane to the goddess. Then, the castle leaves the sky and lands on solid ground to create what is now known as Hyrule. I noticed at the end of the video, the castle begins to fall, but then starts to float.
Who knows? I'd be happy if he opens up a gateway to the Dark World like in A Link to the Past. Maybe I'm looking into it too much. I hate it when YouTubers spend an hour pontificating over a 2 minute video. I'm feeling a bit guilty of that now. However, this is a Zelda game here, and I want to know where the story leads!

How would you guys rate Breath of the Wild?. Would you say it's the best Zelda of all time?. Majora's Mask is not only my favourite Zelda but it's one of my favourite games of all time. But I always wondered how Breath of the Wild played out. I love every Zelda game especially twilight Princes and Skyward Sword but breath of the wild looks like it plays nothing like those games. Would you say it's more like Skyrim than Twilight Princess?.

How would you guys rate Breath of the Wild?. Would you say it's the best Zelda of all time?. Majora's Mask is not only my favourite Zelda but it's one of my favourite games of all time. But I always wondered how Breath of the Wild played out. I love every Zelda game especially twilight Princes and Skyward Sword but breath of the wild looks like it plays nothing like those games. Would you say it's more like Skyrim than Twilight Princess?. I absolutely loved the game. I put in a lot of hours on my Wii U because of that game. (I couldn't get a Switch when it came out, which didn't bother me at the time, because all of the other launch games didn't interest me in the least.) My favorite Zelda game has been A Link to the Past since it came out. I have that game memorized like Super Mario 3. Breath of the Wild is right up there with it. I loved the freedom the game gave me. You could putz around and try to solve the puzzle of killing a group of baddies. Or, you could explore for the sake of filling in the map or collecting Korok seeds. Or, you could try to solve (and find) every damn hidden dungeon. Or, you could stick to just playing the story. Hell, you didn't even need to get the Masters Sword! That's just an option. I loved the freedom given to you in such a beautiful game.
Now, if you're expecting the typical linear Zelda with constant amazing music blasting in the background, which I love too, then you won't get that. It is very different. I'd say it is a hybrid between Skyrim and Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword (minus the mandatory motion controls). I know there are small gripes that the neck beards seem to whine about with the game, but it still is an amazing Zelda experience for me. The only gripe I really had was the fact that the DLC wasn't as special as Xenoblade 2. (That's probably an unfair comparison, since that seems to be the greatest DLC I have ever experienced.) It still remains a 10/10 after 3 years in my book.

Thank you that was a good description of the game and what to expect from it and confirms my idea of it being a cross between skyrim and the later Zelda games. Probably the first game i'm going to get with my Switch. |

I totally forgot this trailer even existed. I'm so happy they are using the same engine, and art style. It is going to take forever though, considering the ridiculous high quality standards of Nintendo, which are a good thing.
I remember everyone saying at the time that they wanted to make it dark, which is perfectly suitable for it, considering that's what happened between Ocarina Of Time, and Majora's Mask, and this is the exact same scenario where a Zelda title once again is as iconic as those were.

Sadly, it is very unlikely, the character doesn't appear to have breasts, so it is more likeky to be male. |
