It's the 4th of July today, and so we're going back to a time where Americans trusted authority and terrorists weren't Islamic desert beardos. A toy franchise was reborn, complete with cartoon series and... Chosen by: centipede Year: 1987 Starring: Charlie Adler, Shuko Akune, Jack Angel, Michael Bell, Chris "Starscream" Latta, Robert "Sergeant Slaughter" Remus Written by: Ron Friedman, Roger Slifer Directed by: Don Jurwich Produced by: Margaret Loesch, Osamu Yoshioka, Don Jurwich Such an awesome opening scene I'm surprised the full movie isn't on YT, but there's plenty of clips.

Now I want to revisit the whole thing, movies, and series, but I'm still going through all the Transformes episodes on Tubi.

You bet your Yankee butt it is.
I never saw the cartoons but, just before the first live action movie was released, I scored a VHS copy of this flick at a local Salvos store.
With all they learned from the Transformers movie, it'd be pretty good. However, this made Hasbro very cautious. They did not go all out, like with Transformers with rock songs and celebs like Orson Welles and Eric Idle. Also, this was direct-to-video. If Transformers didn't come first, this movie could've been more ambitious, but it got dark with the bloody near death of a Joe. With what happened with Optimus Prime, they wouldn't dare.
Once again, this opening grabs your attention. When you think about it, a few of those Cobra grunts would've died from falling.
I had to keep reminding myself that this was for kids. I saw Cobra soldiers retreat too eagerly. And, seriously Lady J, who brings spears to an all-out gun fight? Also, how does someone like Flynt get into the Joes? At least, Sergeant Slaughter was pretty cool.

I haven't seen this movie but the only thing I honestly respect about it is the beautiful Korean & Japanese animation. God bless those talented asian artists. Still, I give it a 1/5 because I hate the 80s, I hate the U.S. military and I hate The United States of America.

I think you can find them all, but here is a stream.

Spirit Bomb You hate the 80's? Speak for yourself. Sometimes, I wish I was born a few years earlier. I've seen a few cartoons on the stream. A few were kinda clever, but I don't really have a sentimental attachment to G I Joe. But I've noticed that Cobra does a lot of brainwashing. That, and the Joes run headfirst into gunfire constantly and melee the Cobra troops. You can only do so much with a G-rating. Still, I gave the movie 4 out of 5, and I was a little surprised that I saw actual blood from Duke.

If Back to the Future has taught me anything, it is that the 80's are awesome.

80's was the best era of human history. In regards to what, might I ask? You need to specify.
