I noticed that I haven't gotten any email notifications since mid May.
According to "Profile>Notifications" here on the forum I've been quoted or tagged like 20 times since then! I also haven't gotten any emails when I've received private messages.
I looked at my forum email settings and they were all set to "Smart".
I'm positive I had them all set to "Instant" in the past and I've set them back to "Instant" now, hopefully this will fix the problem.
Does anyone else have this issue or is it just me?

Yeah, I had no idea, but I remember getting e-mail notifications years ago. Maybe it was one of the many updates they do to freeforums what changed it. On our side the forum has remained the same throughout the years.

Well, I just got quoted by scipioafricanus in the recent Nintendo purchases thread and I still got no email despite having the email setting set to "Instant"! I had to go on the forum and check my notifications manually to see it. So it seems proboards just isn't willing to send me emails anymore. That really sucks because I use that feature as my main way to stay up to date on these kind of forums! I'm a member of multiple other proboards/freeforum communities and I completely rely on the email service to work to get updated on what's going on. If it doesn't work anymore I'll have to check all forums manually, one after another, to stay up to date, and I'm not willing to do that, checking forums that have low activity only to see no updates for weeks, maybe even months just so I don't miss something when and if it finally happens is bullshit, this is EXACTLY why I have to set to send me emails when something gets posted that interests me in the first place! Not having such a basic feature work in 2020 is nothing short of retarded. A simple email notification service should NOT be too hard to have in working order in this day and age! |

I didn't know that this was an option either. I'll give you that though, you're dedicated if you want email notification on your mentions.

Maybe they are going to the junk mail, or to other areas of your mail. My mail has an inbox main area, but it has one for advertisements, other for social media, and other for junk. So maybe they are getting send there.

So maybe they are getting send there. Nah, I checked all that already. I even tried changing email addresses and it still doesn't work. It also doesn't work from any of the other proboard forums so I've missed stuff there as well. Their email notification feature just seems to be broken. At least for all my accounts and emails. |

I just checked mine, and I'm not getting anything either,but I haven't touched my settings, so maybe after trying that.
