1998, PC, Sonic, I'm legitimately surprised I haven't play this before. Well it's been developed since '98, but I don't know when it was finally released. Things like these are usually developed for many years. |

The oldest versions came out in the late 90s and were heavily modified WADs for Doom. It's a homebrew game, not a real official SEGA licensed game.
I've played some of the older PC versions and a 32X port of the original Sonic Robo Blast. They were okay, I guess. The newer versions include new gameplay mechanics like jumping, which wasn't a thing in the original Doom engine. I assume the newer versions are more distinct as Sonic games and less like Doom, but I haven't played any newer version.

I'll take it as a compliment but such harsh words won't give them much reason to allow your posts to stay up, Spirit Bomb. They'll just end up deleting your posts when they consider them to contain insults again if you keep wording them like that. |

The good side of Sonic's fan base really outshines the cringe side, with stuff like this.
The levels are so spacious, but controls are still a bit slippery. And I would've liked the enemies to be more of a threat. Still not bad for a fan game.
