I understand why you might be bitter, Centipede. Life has gotten in the way for the past 5 years but I haven't forgotten the pub.

But I do wonder why, unlike most people, you bothered coming back after being gone for so long. Side note: I miss Dan E Kool though. He was funny. |

The free forums are sentimental. I remember when we all kind of just wound up here when CGR abandoned ship. I think I was somewhat active here about a year ago and then I had a hiatus from the site. That's probably because I got a smart phone and wound up falling into all the distractions while keeping up with my career, my family, podcasting, and YouTube videos. I recently listened to an audiobook that helped me cope with the phone addiction and I kind of naturally found my way back here. It's nice to see everyone again Sidebar: Yeah, Dan E really was Kool. |

I recently listened to an audiobook that helped me cope with the phone addiction and I kind of naturally found my way back here. Oof yeah, phone addiction is a real thing. I don't see myself as one of those people who use their phone too much, but when I check my statistics, it's usually two hours average a day, which isn't a problem, but it's concerning seeing how much time I spend in front of a screen of some sorts. My phone has replaced a lot of the functions my computer used to do for me, but whenever I have my computer in front of me, I'd rather use that instead. Now, using reddit while in bed is something I should stop doing. It's not even fun reading reddit in bed anymore, but I do it religiously. |
