All 4? Then 40 out of 40. This was one of my favorite movie franchises growing up as a kid.
This and Die Hard were probably my favorite movie franchises along with anything with Steven Seagal, Jean Claude Van Damme, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Sylvester Stallone.

I wasn't blown away by the first one, but I guess I'll have to track down the sequels now.

I forgot to add these reviews after I watched these, but here are my thoughts on the 2nd and 3rd movie. I'm going to watch the 4th one as well just to round out the series.
2I was not the biggest fan of the original Lethal Weapon movie, and no suffice to say the sequel is not better. The original Lethal Weapon is just more of the same, it was a buddy cop movie that did well because it incorporated two likable characters, a young White maverick and an older experienced Black man. That combination was killer and it still holds up in that regard, however, after watching it, I did not find that much enjoyment because it was just mindless action, and the sequel suffers from the same things, just that it is now less original. This is a certain type of movie that do not need to look long for its audience, and that is completely fine, but to me these movies are just mediocre. I must say that the smooth jazz playing in the background is fantastic though." 2.5/5
"Just another movie into an okay series. Lethal Weapon 3 is in many ways just like the second movie, it is just more of the same. It has got the smooth jazz playing in the background, the witty locker room talk between Riggs and Murtaugh and action-packed police work. For some reason they put Joe Pesci in this movie, and while it does not make a lot of sense of the story, Pesci is always a funny addition. The story is bland and forgettable, just about cop killers selling weapons and shit on the black market, whatever. Since I am not a big fan of the series, there is nothing in this movie that stands out from the other two movies. Just a couple of funny moments here and there in the breaks of all the action sequences and chases. This is pretty much on par with the first sequel, but slightly worse." 2.5/5

Just finished off the fourth movie as well. I borrowed the whole collection from my local library since I got the chance. I hear they're making a fifth one as well, and by this point, they've got to be getting to old for this shit. Anyways, here's a review cobretti wouldn't like: "These sequels are not getting any better, but for some reason they are not getting any worse either. Lethal Weapon has not had a single original plot point or character since the first movie, but I do commend the people behind these movies for keeping up the spirit. One can tell that these had a great time making these movies, even as far into the series as the fourth movie, which is definitely not something one can say for any franchise. The film is more or less the same as all of the other ones, but this time we have got Chinese villains and innocents. Many other movies have done the same, and it is quite a boring premise, but the reason why we all come back to this series is to listen to Riggs and Murtaugh wits, as well as Joe Pesci I guess. Chris Rock has never interested me though, so I do not know why they bothered to include him. Maybe it was to balance the Joe Pesci's character and have another Black character since Pesci is White. Anyways, there is not that much to complain about other than that it is the same thing all over again. Pretty much on par with all of the sequels, but worse since this is the fourth movie. It was better than I expected though." 2.5/5

I enjoyed the first movie when I watched it about a month ago, I only remembered parts of it because I never really got into the movies growing up and hadn't watched this in well over a decade. It might have even been my first time watching it from start to end. Either way I definitely appreciate the movie more now. The characters are great and it had good action scenes and the plot was nothing new but delivered all it needed to for an entertaining film. 4-4.5 for me for the first movie, I do intend to watch the rest of them soonish.
