These names are rather interesting, at least.

I like the style of this movie, it has some KOF vibes to it. I wish there were more movies like this.

We probably ran out of choices again to get around to this one? It's a bit nostalgic for me so I'm very biased but I love the movie. The story and acting(it's a typical revenge story) aren't much but the fight scenes and over all vibe of the movie are fun. It's a bit of a cult classic for the 90s, and I remember hearing somewhere that Jeff Speakman was considered for Speed.

This movie is up on YouTube in shit quality, but since the film probably never has any better treatment than VHS, this is the best you can find, and the film looks a bit shitty anyways. Here it is:

I've watched this movie now and it was actually better than I had thought:
"It is quite obvious that the same director that Kickboxer also made this, The Perfect Weapon. It is more of the same; choose a martial art, then have a young protagonist follow some sort of The Karate Kid storyline where someone is bullied in some sense and have the protagonist beat the shit out of them using said martial art. In this case it is Kenpo, something I have never even heard about, however, if you are into Kenpo, then this is the movie for you. In all seriousness though, this movie is not for serious people. It is a janky movie where one could not care less about the plot. We just need an excuse to watch people kick and punch each other in a cool fashion and The Perfect Weapon does deliver in that area as these guys can fight and it looks good. It is not a legendary good martial arts movie though on par with a Bruce Lee or Jackie Chan movie, but it is entertaining nevertheless." 3/5 pretty much on par with Kickboxer, but this does not star Van Damme, so it is slightly worse.

I usually love these kinds of films for they are from my era much like No Retreat No Surrender which is one of my favourite movies ever.

I have it on bluray. I also do agree with your review, if it wasn't a movie I had nostalgia it probably would be a 3-3.5 for the fight scenes alone. It was one of the first martial arts movies I ever saw along with the Bruce Lee ones and the Vanishing Son TV movies(which are way more obscure than this, I'm not even sure if those were on VHS).

I got excited for a second when I saw this was on Amazon Prime but it's with Rifftrax dub/commentary. This is the one with Van Damme(briefly, some young kid was the main) and the ghost of Bruce Lee, correct? Haven't seen it since I was like 12.

It's one of van Damme's early films where he plays a villain and get's his ass kicked by a kid who' taught Kung Fu by Bruce Lee's ghost. One of my favourite movies ever.
