Discussion's been kind of light the last few weeks around here, and that's totally cool. Just checking up on ya. Is everything good with you?
Personally, life's been kind of hectic around college and work. I've been watching a lot of movies like always, but haven't been playing that much, hence no game discussions from my end. How about you guys? Been playing anything?

How about you guys? Been playing anything? Life is getting in the way as usual, my friend. I haven't played anything new in a while, so I returned to Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and I'm already on chapter 6. I also recently beat SMB 3 with the hammer brother suite!
My son is turning 10 this month, so there's something to talk about. Life has been moving too fast; that's for sure. In the Nintendo section, I brought up the 35th anniversary of Mario. I remember the 25th with the Wii game. Since I still have the SNES version of the game, I never bought it. However, I remember looking at my son as an infant and wondering what future anniversaries would look like, and here we are. Life is odd, isn't it? . Anyway, it's good to have scipioafricanus as his non-blood uncle. The man already bought him a couple of presents, and that is three weeks away!

I got beaten in Tekken finally after 5 years of undefeated performance within some close friends last night, well, it was really today around 5 in the morning when it happened, and they were celebrating, I woke up feeling defeated, but I'm OK, at least I finally have someone local that can beat me on it, which it is a good challenge.
We started watching some old WWE DVD with HHH, Edge, and John Cena, from 2006, then we played MK11 in which I won, then SoulCalibur VI in which I won, and then Tekken 7 in which I was winning until I lost. It was a good run.

As my university is finally close to finish the semester (it would have normally be finished by late June, but here we are - THX FOR NOTHING, GODDAMN VIRUS), I'm drowning in work right now. That's why I'm not talking too much over here, but soon I'll have more free time. By the way, giving classes online is tiresome and takes too much time, besides the university in general thinking that I'm now available 24/7 to answer every message and attend to every useless meeting they can think of - since we started working from home, they just stopped giving any shits to actual working hours/days. It's hell, man. My phone has to be muted all the time, as I've already received messages at midnight, on Sundays, holidays etc. I seriously hate two thirds of my department right now, as I just can't stand unprofessional behaviour like that. Interestingly, the students themselves are ok and most are doing their best in what is definitely a shitty situation.
I'm stil finding time to play some games, though, provided they are on the short side. I played through Wonder Boy: The Dragons Trap a few days ago, and now I have just finished Soul Reaver 2. I'll post my impressions on SR2 later.

The professors are usually on point and try to make the best out of the situation, but the administration is just awful. It's astounding how difficult they make things.

As I said previously, I am busy as hell right now. Even when I'm not working at my job, I'm still working on my own time. I have a legal predicament with my mother that I'm constantly working on, so I have very little time for the internet right now. Today is the first time I have used the web in four days (I think).
All the wifi spots are closed down right now because of covid, so I either have to browse in the library or outside of it on my laptop (which seems like it's going to break down any day now).

Is this an enquiry into our mental wellbeing? Well sort of. Just checking up seeing how you hold up and if you're doing anything interesting I guess.

We do have an actual Swedish member though. We need to get a Finnish guy on the board too. I know they don't count Finland sometimes, but I do. All three countries point at Denmark, and that makes them look like brothers to me.

Miss you guys. I am definitely all over the place, but I've also been reducing my time on the smart phone apps so that's helped me focus my creativity and pursuits. Sounds like everyone is managing alright so I'm happy to see it

Yeah, phone apps are a life killer. I have LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Reddit, Snapchat, Messenger, WhatsApp, Imgur, Tapatalk, Telegram, Zoom, YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Spotify, SoundCloud, Play Books, Audible, Kindle, E-Mail, and I still search stuff on Google.
They mess up with your overall psyche, and you can't possibly live a fulfilling life if you dedicate too much time to those things. The more you cut them off the better.
