Ever stumble on to a game that cost nothing one day and then jumped way up the next?
Yeah, I thought so.
The one I just noticed was Vanark on the PS1. A year or so ago, the game was selling for maybe, I dunno, $2. Now I see asking prices of $80 or so. No idea why.
Anyone know what caused this spike, or notice any other games that took a dramatic jump in the last year or so?

No jumps, but it looks like the prices of import Saturn games are taking a dump on eBay. Too bad I'm in between paychecks.

PS1 games are starting to go up in price because 20 years later it would appear like they are starting to rot, which makes me and everyone collecting the damned games panic. In addition to this a lot of people are starting to complete their Genesis/ SNES collections (Thank god) and are starting to move into N64/PS1 territory, expect the prices of obscure games that sold extremely poorly to rise like hell. I'm already laughing at the price for a complete copy of Perfect Weapon. I also noticed this with Megaman and I recommend everyone to do so, after the SSB announcement it would appear that a lot of people got into collecting Megaman games and Megaman games only. It annoys the hell out of me, I may never own a Megaman game because of it. No jumps, but it looks like the prices of import Saturn games are taking a dump on eBay. Too bad I'm in between paychecks. I was about to call you a liar but then I remembered the current US dollar-mexican peso exchange rate. Holy crap I thought I would never see the day, Working Designs titles for under 100 dollars O.o

I'm just waiting for the day when common NES titles aren't selling for $30+.

There is a complete copy of Perfect Weapon on Amazon for $2.00 w/3.99 shipping right as I post this. MegaMan has been on the rise for years, though. They go up, but I wouldn't say it jumped from A to Z, more like a gradual climb from A to B to C to D to... etc... The thing *I* find funny is that you can get both the MMAC and MMXC collection right now, sealed, from Amazon for less than $30 combined... and no one cares.

Fucking Crash Bandicoot games for the PS1. I picked up Crash Bandicoot 2 for 10 bucks just a couple of years ago. Today the cheapest CIB copy I found (like the one I bought) goes for over 50 bucks!

Croix Dieu, 50? I found the original crash for like a dollar last summer. Wasn't FF7 really expensive 10 years ago? Maybe this is the same thing. I hope. Any time a game sells for for than its original msrp I cry a little.

Fishing Resort. On the Wii. Like what the hell? I can get Rappala Tournament and Sega bass Fishing for half the price of a lure but add some ani-mii characters and a logo and you're buying a swordfish from a gourmet restaurant? That's fishy if you ask me.

Don't understand why, perhaps all the 90s kids are starting to wanna play their childhood games again.

Pity, especially when games like that sold millions Yeah it sold almost 8 million copies world wide. It's the same thing with N64 titles; the most sold are also the most sought after --> price jump.

I'm just waiting for the day when common NES titles aren't selling for $30+. Thankfully this doesn't apply to most of them though. Along with Genesis, NES has to be the console I most commonly find good titles for $15 and less.
