Do you think they will ever make a TG-16 plug and play? It is too expensive to try to collect for this system. (I want the CD duo system so bad.) I would love it if they made an all-in-one flashback arcade system like they have for the Sega Genesis and the Atari 2600.

They sell many of those games in the Wii U, if you go the Wii menu, I got Castlevania Rondo Of Blood on it. I also have Soldier Blade, and Super Star Soldier on my PS3.

Yeah, Wii VC is the way I've played a decent amount of TG-16/PCE games. (Blazing Lazers, Ninja Spirit, Lords of Thunder, Bomberman 93/94 to name a few)

I wonder if anyone released a PC Engine plug and play in Japan, wouldn't surprise me.

I wonder if anyone released a PC Engine plug and play in Japan, wouldn't surprise me. Really. That, and clone systems considering how popular the PC Engine was in Japan. If the Genesis is worthy of clones, then surely the PC Engine would be.

Many people have never even seen a TG16, or even know what it is. There's not likely any money in making a clonesole of it, since the licensing would be a motherfathering nightmare. PC Engine Duo R that's been re-capped and a Turbo Everdrive. Only about $350 + S&H. Ouch.

The TG16 not unlike the Sega Saturn was a console that remained relatively obscure in the west but was HUGE in Japan, I've seen several videos by people who said people should ignore the TG16 and buy the PC Engine instead since it is easier to find, has a library several times larger, and the games are often considerably cheaper than the western version.

Weren't most of their games from Hudson Soft? Konami owns them now, so they could make a plug and play to pimp out their products. That, or make a Plinko machine out of their proprietary mascots...

Of all the companies to own Hudson Soft. They would have been better off if Nintendo bought them and chained them to only making Mario Party.

I've been looking lately-- you can get a PC Engine Core Grafx 1 or 2 for less than $200 US-- I'm much rather have that than a clone. The Turbo Duo (especially the Duo R) is ideal for playing CD titles as well, but costs more of course-- about the same that a Neo Geo CD would. In my crystal ball I see a Core Grafx in my near future...

I don't want to be that guy, but I'm sure you all realize that the Turbo Duo has no copy protection... so if you have a copy of the CD you can make a copy of the game. Back when the system came out, a CD copier cost a couple thousand dollars, so they figured that if people really wanted the games that bad, they'd just buy the games.

Yeah, but everyone knows what a Nintendo is. "Turbo-WHAT?!?!" is the usual response I get from people. It would be nice, though.
