Yeah, but everyone knows what a Nintendo is. "Turbo-WHAT?!?!" is the usual response I get from people.  It would be nice, though. Yeah, but they are making a ZX Spectrum handheld. That was hugely popular in only certain regions of the world too. With the overwhelming popularity of the PC Engine in Japan, I'm sure someone is itching to make some cash. |

A Classic Mini style console was just announced by Konami, they made a lot of games for PC Engine and own all the rights to it these days so it's up to them to do it, seems like they've decided to join the others.

In this case I'm really inclined to get the Japanese version. It is not about looks, but at least in terms of the library, the PC Engine is truly vastly superior than the TurboGrafx-16.

In this case I'm really inclined to get the Japanese version. It is not about looks, but at least in terms of the library, the PC Engine is truly vastly superior than the TurboGrafx-16. This is very true. However, I wonder if the Japanese only games will be included on the TG-16 edition. Many of them are already translated into English, and the shooters don't require it at all. |

My favorite Canadian You Tuber just put out a video on his list. I've got to say that I agree with it thus far. I want to see a lot more from the CD-ROM games in Japan. The Street Fighter II would be a treat as well. I wonder how the multi-tap is going to work.

Additional info:
It will release on March 19th 2020.
It will use an HDMI Type A cable for video (720p/480p) and audio (linear 2 channel PCM stereo). The HDMI cable will be included.
It will use a USB Micro-B cable for power. The USB cable will be included.
The EU and US versions will have a turbo controller included, the Jap version will have a standard non-turbo controller included.
There will be a quick save function.
There will be screen filters to add things like scanlines.
All three versions will have additional turbo controllers sold separately and a multi tap (that allows up to 5 players in supported games), also sold separately.
The Japanese and American versions will also have official USB AC adapters sold separately.
