scipioafricanus, I just caught that. The game looks amazing. I can't believe how big the cart is, and I really dig the many options available, including the ability to download DLC to the cart! The ability to use the CD add on for more processing power is awesome too! This game is awesome.
I really don't understand why the developer was such a tool about it. I thought Watermelon games was cool after they made Pier Solar. His attitude reminds me of a guy going through a childish mid life crisis. Sometimes being crass is funny. Sometimes it is used to make a statement. This just feels like faux 90s 'tude. I hope that doesn't affect the rest of the team there. stratogustav, what do you think of the joystick? That thing looks pretty cool, and the praise he gave it makes me think it may be worth the price. I love the CGR review at the end. It makes sense, though, because Mark was still doing videos when this was announced! |

I really loved that CGR bit at the end. Man, CGR for life.
That stick looks slick, and if it works with the Genesis I can see it being totally worth it. Many original Sega games feel and look like Arcade ports, but in reality they never had an arcade release, they were directly made for the system. So having a good stick to play those is always a winning situation.

Heh, I think I must have closed the video before the sketch when I watched the episode the first time. Glad to see Joe bring back the "Plastic Game Room" parody. Usually he only revisits his Metal Jesus parody (and wig) when a "hidden gem" is mentioned, so nice to see him show some CGR love too. lol
Funny thing is, given that they seem to have been friendly in the past, with Joe lending Mark controllers for review and Mark having interviewed Joe and Dave back when he was doing the Patreon podcast, I'll bet Joe might have been able to get Mark to actually voice that bit. Still love the sketch as is, but I think that would have made me spit out my drink
