I guess this game gets a bad reputation for most people now. This was my pack-in game and one of my first for the Genesis. At that time, it was almost an arcade perfect port. If you come on the Genesis now, this game is not near as good as stuff that came later in the consoles life span. But for a launch title, it was just right.

I didn't play Altered Beast until the Sega Genesis Collection on either PS2(definitely on PS2 if it was on that, but I don't remember for sure) or PS3 and I liked it. I give it a play every few years and still enjoy it. Good for an early Genesis title.

I really like this game, it is so much fun, it beats everything on Mobile nowadays.
If people's mind is capable to chill and not be so ADHD all the time, people can have a blast with this game.
It is a very relaxing challenge like many other beat 'em up of the era, but this one is particularly interesting.
I really like the art design and it makes you feel like you are playing a book without having to rely on narrative.
