This week, the controversy we are going to discuss is the american prison system, and all the problems it causes for those unfortunate enough to find themselves trapped inside it!
Known issues among inmates:
-forced corralling
-general lack of protection
-racism/racial inequality
-shower rape (due to group showering)
-murder
-false imprisonment
-lack of basic human rights (i.e. no control of diet, self isolation, etc.)
-police/jailer brutality (as seen in the above report)
-botched executions, experimental executions, and (formally) exploitive executions, A.K.A. public executions
What do you guys think of this? Does the system work or should it be reformed?
