Why settle for this when there's like a thousands ways to play the original PC version of the game?. And Sega Lord XTard always posts these types of videos failing to understand that all these modern updates to old games are done with modern programs which wasn't available back then.
Watch his Sonic on the Snes video where Nintendo fans had a field day on the comments section because Sega Tard X declared how the Snes was always capable of matching Sega in terms of speed and processing power but all it needed was good developers who understood the hardware. What a fucking idiot.

But does that matter when there's perfect version of the game easily available?. I guess what I'm trying to say is why do people bother to go to all that effort just to slightly improve a game that's not going to be better than what's already available. To many Street Fighter 2 on the Snes was the first version of the game they played. But I don't think any one wants that version or even a improved version of that port when there's soo many ways to play the arcade perfect version.

I searched out SF2 Turbo for the SNES, and I still play and prefer it. I know the arcade is better, and I have it on the Switch with the 30th anniversary edition. I don't know why, but I still prefer the one I started with. As for why they do this, I suppose it is fun to see what you can do with an antiquated classic system. The stuff the homebrewers are doing with the Atari 2600 is amazing. Sure, Mappy can be played a million other ways, but even Balder can tell you that it is a wonder to see it running on a system from 1977.

Bringing or creating games that wasn't on the system originally is different from improving a game to make it more like the arcade. So it's not the original release from what you remember, and it's not arcade perfect. So why upgrade it at all?. Doom for the 32X could of been better but it wasn't probably because of time restraints and funding. It's like all hose home brews of Street Fighter for the genesis that tries to improve the visuals. Why?, Play the original Genesis port or just play the ones on the 32bit systems.

Just like it's mentioned here I had a similar experience with Gradius III who people say is unplayable because of the slowdowns, but to me those things never bothered me, just like they never bothered me on Metal Slug, and yes I do admit the arcade version is better, but for nostalgic reasons I enjoy the SNES version as if it was a 10 out of 10 game because that's what nostalgia does to you, and that's the value of these ports we grew up with.
