I love what the "8-bit Guy" is doing with his software lately. His newest game, Attack of the PETSCII Robots is being ported to computers and systems that no one even thinks about anymore. Since it is out (or being developed) on so many different platforms, I'll just show the chart from the game's fan page: What isn't on this chart is the Atari 5200, Atari 7800 and Sega Genesis versions that just started development as well. This is the latest video posted, and it shows the development of the most recent ports. I found the duel screen option on the C-128 to be impressive. I may get a copy of the Super Nintendo edition, depending on price and shipping. I'm intrigued by the 7800 edition as well, since I don't feel like people really utilized the hardware on that system like the C-128.

centipede I'm really impressed with how he is keeping retro computing alive on systems that were generally ignored. Now, if only he could port it to the Atari Lynx.

It's overwhelmingly how different platforms were proliferating the gaming industry so early on. So many different systems having their exclusives, and creating nostalgia for so many people. It's a good thing that people care to keep these things safeguarded.

I never knew a soul who had a C-128, and that computer mostly received C-64 ports with little to no upgrades. There were quite a few platforms like that back then that were not fully utilized due to a lack of sales. (See the Atari 7800.) I would love to see more of this in the future.

The Genesis, Atari 7800, and SNES ports are almost done. The 7800 port looks great. Unfortunately, I can't share the videos here, since they are locked on a private forum.

TLDR:
All of the older computer versions are getting an update which includes a map. That includes the Apple 2, the PET, and the ZX Spectrum! (These guys are programming wizards.) The Sega Genesis version is just about ready for resale. The PSP version is now available. The Atari 7800 version will have a 256k cartridge with a POKEY chip, and it sounds pretty damn cool. The NES, SNES, and the MS Dos versions (which may include a Tandy color version) will be available later this year. Finally, an arcade version is currently in the making.
I absolutely love this project. So many old systems are being brought back to life with all of these ports.
