I'm OK with this, because the crappy "win a prize" games around here are all labeled "Sega." They're all a rip-off, and therefore an abomination to the storied Sega name. I'd rather Sega go into history as an arcade legend instead of a legend gone afoul.

They have those on the first floor, but the other floors are truly legendary. Those claw crane machines are mostly to lure casuals into the arcades, like couples, and stuff. But the juice of the arcades are on the other floors, which are the ones that will be missed.
The saddest thing is that some of the best arcade games of last 5 years have all come from Sega, really fantastic games, as seem in there Sega Amusements YouTube channel. So it will be very sad to not see this output from Sega themselves anymore.

That's a good question. I hope they do because it's like a piece of culture and history that Japan cannot ignore moving forward.
