I decided to bring back a classic topic from the old forum. Maybe we can bring some of these classic threads back and incorporate them on the new 2.0 pub.
I’ll start with mine:
———————————————————————
– Castlevania Lament Of Innocence
My appreciation of the human potential for expression through the creation of art became more grounded. It demonstrated how we connect to the world in deep emotional levels of abstract character that give meaning to objects and images around us.
The whole game is a tribute to the human psyche interpreting and engaging the world for the last 2,000 years, and it portrays it by using medieval art alone, including music, architecture, craftsmanship design, storytelling, etc. and many other artistic focused elements that have distinguished Western culture for centuries.
———————————————————————
– Castlevania Symphony Of The Night
It made me realized that the world is full of paradoxes. The end can easily be just the beginning, and that we live in a world of contrast that is full of grays.
Not everything is black and white as anyone would want to make believe. The nature of this world simply does not allow absolutism to be a thing.
———————————————————————
– The Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of Time
It showed me that through expanding our consciousness to different horizons we can gain a higher perspective of life.
That if we stay within the confinements of the environment and ideas we were raised, we are settling for stagnation and leaving our destiny to luck.
However if we explore our possibilities beyond those limitations, we can go overcome our current plateaus and help others in the process.
———————————————————————
– Shadow Of The Colossus
I learned that there are many goals in our lives that may look giant at first, intimidating, and even impossible, but if we approach them step by step we can still conquer them one by one.
———————————————————————
These are just some of the reasons why these titles are some of the best games of all time.
