<button disabled="" class="c-attachment-insert--linked o-btn--sm">Attachment Deleted</button> The Gameloader loads Atari games on the VIC-20 plus you get fantastic VIC-20 graphics and sound.
The C64 GameLoader loading an Atari 2600 scene demo onto the Commodore 64 The first advertisement says that it plays cartridges, but the 3rd picture says the Super Charger. Does it play both, or does it play the 2600 cassettes? Either way, that's pretty damn cool. And if it works on the VIC-20, does that mean it will work on the C-64?

Yes Game Loader plays SuperCharger cassette games and Cartridges on the C-64! Game Loader is an Atari 2600 emulator that creates standalone commodore 64 program binaries you can load and run from cassette tape or the 1541 disk drive. C-64 cartridges could also be created: Here's a link to try the game in Javatari the online Atari 2600 Emulator, it plays the same because it's running the same code but the Commodore 64 emu remixes the sound graphics natively through the VIC-II and the SID.

Defender is crashing into Commodore BASIC in this clip: When not crashing or freezing the emu is running the Atari games at full speed. Even this Demo that pushes Atari 2600 graphics with Atari 800 like display lists runs at a full 60 fps on the Commodore 64: More fun development coming soon!

Thanks! Here is an earlier version where the Atari 2600 screen is tearing in Game Loader, this initially happened in the Stella Atari 2600 emulator too because the who playfield was being animated at a high frame rate rather than much of it being static. In the second video shows no screen tearing in Game Loader just the phosphor effect from a real CRT at 60 fps. Phosphor glow is one area Game Loader emu exceeds other emulation technologies because it's actually racing the beam with the VIC-II in the C64!
