Oooh, good recommendation. I played through this last year and really enjoyed it. I want to buy that but its out of my price range for now. Definitely understandable. My perspective on those somewhat pricey games has changed a bit. As long as I'm buying them to play, and not to collect, it works for me. If I drop $100, play through the game, and then re-sell it for $100 again, that works out. The game is back in the wild for someone else to enjoy, and ended up costing me...maybe a bit in shipping, and whatever small percentage ebay takes on sales. Still not something I do very often though. That said, MGS (or Metal Gear: Ghost Babel) for the GBC really should be on the eShop.

Game Boy Color is probably Nintendo's weakest system. Nevertheless, there are a lot of really great games.
Games I played and recomend:
Super Mario Bros. Deluxe Oracle of Ages/Seasons Perfect Dark (Not the best game, but damn impressive) Harry Potter ss/cos (Really cool little rpgs, inexpensive as all get out) Wario Land 2 & 3 Tetris DX Bionic Commando Re Armed Mega Man Xtreme Game and Watch Gallery 2 & 3 Rayman Conker's Pocket Tales Dragon Warrior 3 Xtreme Sports (An early Wayforward game) Frogger 2 The Grinch (Seriously a metal gear like game)
Games I haven't Played, but heard good things about:
Kirby Tilt and Tumble Dragon Warrior 1 & 2 Magi-Nation Metal Gear Solid Toki Tori Shantae Warlocked Brian's Quest
I'm a bit of a game boy nut if you haven't noticed.

R-Type DX is a must have. I thought I remembered it being a good version of the game, been so long since I played it.

Street Fighter Alpha is actually a pretty damned good version of the game on a handheld device.
Projet S-11 is a decent (though easy) shooter on the system. The visuals and sound can be amazing, though.
Shadowgate Classics was a decent port as well.
