And now, for the darker, edgier take on a beloved icon, which didn't go down all that well at the cinema.
Year: 2013
Starring: Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon
Directed by: Zack Snyder Written by: David S. Goyer

Man Of Steel is actually my favorite super hero movie alongside the Dark Knight Trilogy. However there are many "buts" for that to happen. 1. Man Of Steel cannot be watched in anything less than a 120 inches projector screen. It has to be on 3D, and you need to have at least a decent 5.2 surround system with some decent subs for that extra punch of the Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 on the digital version, or the DTS 7.1 that comes in the Blu-Ray. 2. Besides that you need to be a fan of Dragon Ball Z because it is those Saiyan girl fights that also make it good. 3. Also you need to have played (and enjoyed) Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe because some of those tag punches are straight up from the game. 4. Then you also need to be a sci-fi enthusiast that believe in aliens as a possibility. 5. After that you need to agree that Henry Cavill is the closest looking guy to Superman after Christopher Reeve. 6. Lastly, you need to be familiar with recent year Space X footage to know what the special effects actually convey, like Elon Musk describes here: Once you meet those requirements then you know Man Of Steel is better than pretty much anything else out there, including all the Disney movies. The insane space view of the terraforming on 3D with that eerie trumpet sound from the world engine going up and down, changing the gravity of the Earth, is mind blowing to say the least.

Man, did Snyder peak with 300. I love 300, but I also love Man Of Steel for some reason. My issue is that I dislike Batman V Superman, which is the sequel, and I feel it gives this one a bad name by relation. To be fair I didn't like it very much the first time I saw it, but once I saw it in the comfort of my home and really gave it attention, I started noticing how much I like it, and I end up liking it more every single time I watched it, and now at this point if I put it on, some of those action scenes are even hypnotic to me. That said I'm not a fan of Zack Snyder, I don't like Sucker Punch or Watchmen, I feel those are very bad movies, but with 300 and Man Of Steel I feel his talent was used in the right places.

I agree with you stratogustav, this is one of the best superhero movies out there. I know it's controversial, but I don't know why. This is blockbuster awesomeness.

The movie is one of those rare things that you don't expect to impress, but out of nowhere end ups to be surprisingly pleasing. By the way, I remember you posted once your Blu-Ray 3D collection, and I'm officially jealous since many of those items are becoming very rare nowadays.

I liked this movie as well, sure it had some dumb moments(Kevin Costner death scene is the main one that comes to mind) but the action was good and that was about 60% of the movie. I wish we could have gotten a good sequel rather than the DCEU crap we ended up getting like BvS, Suicide Squad, and Justice League(although I still haven't watched Synder Cut).

There was a funny part that Clark hides in the school's janitor's closet and then I think the teacher follows him to see what's going on, but all of the sudden the entire class is there watching him too, I thought it was hilarious to see all the kids gathered there.

6. Lastly, you need to be familiar with recent year Space X footage to know what the special effects actually convey, like Elon Musk describes here Elon Musk is an ignorant, mentally sick fucking dumbass who needs to be assassinated.

I know it's controversial, but I don't know why. I think it was because it was a grittier and darker take on Superman. It was just "out of character".

I think it was because it was a grittier and darker take on Superman. It was just "out of character". That would be Justice League, here he didn't have a choice. We only see the aftermath in Batman V Superman. Which again, we are unlucky to have the DCEU affecting this great movie by relation.

6. Lastly, you need to be familiar with recent year Space X footage to know what the special effects actually convey, like Elon Musk describes here: Private sector clowns like Elon Musk and those assholes at Ocean Gate don't know jack-shit about the reality of what they're doing. Space exploration and oceanic exploration is no game, and they shouldn't be allowed to handle this level of responsibility, only the world's governments should. Don't believe me? Just look at what happened to Ocean Gate's Titan sub recently, it's all over the news: What a bunch of stupid assholes. Not just the shady shmucks at Ocean Gate, but also the mega-rich dumbasses who are drawn to these tourist ventures like flies to a turd. Everyone involved here is an idiot. Same thing goes with Space X and Blue Origin. Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos are total fucking dumbasses who are even bigger dung-brains than Dung-Brain Demuro himself is, and that's saying something. I wouldn't trust these assholes with ANYTHING, and I hope Ocean Gate gets sued for everything they're worth AND I hope that its CEO gets arrested, too. Hell, I hope everyone who works at Ocean Gate gets arrested and goes to federal prison for a long-ass time. And I hope the same thing happens to Space X and Blue Origin, too. I hope that everyone who works at Space X and Blue Origin all goes to federal prison, too! I mean, why not? They're all a bunch of middle and upper class assholes who work for a couple of facist lunatics who both run dystopian corporations. I say get rid of them all and spare our navy or our governments all the trouble of having to rescue people trapped at the bottom of the ocean or lost in space only for them all to be discovered DEAD. Instead of going after the lower class, america should go after the middle and upper class citizens since they're the ones who have money to cause real mischief in the first place. After all, these idiots think that space and ocean expeditions are a total blast and everyone should cater to these dangerous ventures. My point here is that I would feel even less safe on a spaceship than I would in a submarine 1,700 feet beneath the sea. I feel like only strict government regulations could possibly make these ventures foolproof, which is why these activities should only be carried out by the governments for government officials and only for things that are actually important, i.e. NOT tourism. All this shit does is just create climate change, anyways. So what about you, Stratogustav? Do you still worship Elon Musk? Do you still dream about being sent into space? Do you dream of owning your own space ship? Do you still worship the private sectors? Do you still swear by libertarian politics? ARE YOU AWARE THAT THIS SHIT IS FUCKING UP THE PLANET? Don't leave me hanging.

Man, did Snyder peak with 300. Snyder peaked with his half decent Dawn of the Dead remake, which I believe was his first major movie.
