The movie has so many twists that I end up liking it a lot back in the day, it definitely keeps you entertained from beginning to end, and the cast was honestly spot on.
Maybe this is the cartoonish version of a toxic marriage, but in many ways it describes many of the psychological differences between genders with accuracy, which gives the movie a humoristic feel to the film.
There is a spiritual successor nowadays called Deep Water, also with Ben Affleck, but that can be a movie for a different thread.
