Oh man, the game looks awesome! Arc System works finally managed to do 2d fighting games with 3d models that actually look great (I'm not a fan of the style used by Capcom since SFIV). I haven't played it yet, though. Maybe after finishing the Dead or Alive series it might be my next pick for a fighter? I haven't seriously delved in a 2d fighter in years.
Here's a good study about its animation:

Honestly a master piece, but it is designed as casual madness to the Z potential.

Oh boy, I have a LOT to say in regards to my preview of Dragon Ball Fighter Z (I, like some others here, haven't played it yet). It looks amazing but at the same time I have some very strong reservations which I'll get to momentarily.
Firstly, this is the first fighting game by Ark System Works that even remotely interests me. Ark System Works has been making fighting games since I was practically still a toddler but up until now, none of them have interested me in the least, so I never bothered to play any of them. My biggest beef with their franchises like Guilty Gear and Blaz Blue is how generic and uninspired the character designs are. It's a similar complaint I have with many SNK fighting game franchises in that the individual fighters aren't really defined by the cultural background of their homeland or any sort of basic rulesets from one fighter to the next. In my eyes Guilty Gear and Blaz Blue are just a retarded juxtaposition of generic fantasy character designs of painfully average quality, a problem that a lot of fighting game series suffer from. I hate to use the phrase animu, but....Ark System Works has always been pure animu crap. there, I said it. It had to be said.
But now that they've been recruited to work with Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball franchise, they're actually being put to good use for once and doing something right for a change. Even though I detested the animu look and feel of the Guilty Gear and Blaz Blue games, they did at least move at an impressive clip and did seem geared towards hardcore 2D fighting game fans as far as gameplay is concerned.
However, as intriguing and promising as Dragon Ball Fighter Z looks as a competitive fighter, there is one glaring MASSIVE issue that I have immediately taken issue with the game, and that is its roaster. I almost NEVER take issue with the roasters in fighting games aside from a select few like Capcom Vs SNK 2 and PS All Stars Battle Royal. But here, it simply has to be said that the roaster in Dragon Ball Fighter Z is a huge letdown. Mainly because of two problems: number one is that half of the roaster is locked behind a paywall. Secondly, the roaster omits many of my personal favorite characters/designs from the shows, mostly villains but also some good guys as well. The most heinous omissions that immediately come to mind are (in no order) Raditz, Zarbon, King Cold, Jeice, Burter, Recoome, Guldo, Syn Shenron, Imperfect Cell, and Goten. Among others.
I ask: HOW THE HELL COULD ARK SYSTEMS WORKS EVEN DARE TO OMIT THESE LEGENDARYILY NEFARIOUS BADDIES AND SOME OF THE HEROES FROM THE DRAGON BALL FRANCHISE??? They included Perfect Cell, but not Imperfect Cell?? They included Captain Ginyu, but didn't think to add the rest of the Ginyu Force?? Did Ark System Works really think we old school DB fans wouldn't care?? DID THEY REALLY THINK WE WOULDN'T NOTICE THIS?? THAT WE WOULDN'T TAKE ISSUE WITH THESE HENIOUS OMISSIONS??? And what's with their inherent dislike of BD GT? How could they NOT include Syn Shenron?? He had a more daunting character design than all of the Buu forms put together. And on that note, why didn't they include ALL of the Buu forms?? Why only two of them?? And no Raditz?? He was one of the first villains to appear in BDZ for crying out loud! They included freaking Yamcha, but not any of these bad guys?? AND NO ZARBON EITHER??? How could they have the audacity to leave out some of the most infamous henchmen in the entire DB saga??? And also, WHAT ABOUT GOTEN??? Why didn't we get a kid Goten or a teenage Goten?? We get Gotenks, but not regular Goten?? WTF this is pure BULLSHIT and I can't for the life of me figure out why and how Ark System Works could be so stupid and disrespectful to the source material. DBFZ has to have one of the absolute most disappointing character roasters of any fighting game ever, without question.
DBFZ's roaster is the most bizarre juxtaposition of cherry-picked characters I have ever seen in my entire life, and as a fighting game fanatic, that's saying something.
Despite this massive drawback, I'm still very interested in giving DBFZ a try sometime in the future. The only problem is that I don't have a way to play it as of now since I haven't gotten a modern game console yet. And I don't want to try playing the Steam version without a good game pad. So I'm not sure when or how I will play it.

If you want a great roaster from the start, I recommend Dragon Ball Z Extreme Butōden on the 3DS, also by Arc System Works. A lot of the ones included are just assists ala Marvel Vs. Capcom 1, but it is still a very impressive inclusion of characters from the franchise overall.

Your poor state of mind is similar to people with bipolar disease, usually personality disorders like those don't have a cure, you remain like that no matter what.
But somehow I refuse to believe that's the case, I know some of those people can get better and actually function in society.
The question is how to make it happen, and to me the answer is by bonding with others in strong loving relationships. Maybe that's what's missing here.
I would say put yourself out there and when the love is mutual it is easier to overcome some of those things together than in isolation because that can never be good for a human being.
In many ways you sound like someone that spends his time in isolation and we are not designed to live that way as a species.
Play with the odds, there are millions of people around you, get to know people and don't judge them, just be happy you are alive, and that happiness alone can bring a lot of value to them, and you may find another soul that matches your needs sooner than later.
But in order to do that you need to control your mind first, for which I recommend daily presence meditations. If you can control your mind and no the other way around, then you can do anything within human reach. It takes time, but it is doable.
I have a friend that got cured from paranoia and schizophrenia just doing meditation, now he has his own house with a nice outdoors jacuzzi, swimming pool, and home theater, not that those things matter, but before he was sleeping in the streets.
It just takes habit, but this is very approachable since all you need to do is to breath and clear your mind of any thinking for about 21 minutes per day, which is nothing, it may take months to quiet your mind during the session, but it is a good challenge that is good for you.
You don't want to be a slave of your own thoughts, those are farts your brain produces, the real you is that one that is aware you are thinking, and that goes beyond the structures of society, and of your own egos; which is why this is a very liberating practice.
You can argue craziness all you want here, but when you are by yourself, care for yourself and really love yourself by doing these things. The mind also needs maintaining, and it is all intertwined.

...designed as casual madness to the Z potential. The only thing I'll grant you here is that the gameplay in DBFZ seems a little slow compared to the golden standard for crossover fighters: Marvel Vs Capcom 2. Otherwise, it looks flawless. That's just my preview, though. I'll have to wait and play it for myself before I can form my official opinion. Slower gameplay isn't a deal breaker for me, anyway. I love Tekken 3, SF Alpha 1-3 and Capcom Vs SNK 2 even though they're far from the fastest of their kind. Not every fighting game has to be the absolute best of its kind in all aspects. That would be highly unreasonable. Right now I just wish DBFZ had a better roaster. The real reason I'm bumping this thread though is because I have more to say about the roaster, or rather my fighter wishlist: I want to amend it. I'm going to scratch Raditz and Semi-perfect Cell off my wishlist since I don't remember either of them having any sort of distinct movesets in the anime (DISCLAIMER: haven't read the mangas). In terms of his fighting style, Raditz was basically just a generic saiyan who didn't even have any special moves that were unique to him. He was a cool antagonist but was just a generic saiyan henchmen otherwise. And it's kinda the same story with Semi-perfect Cell: not only was he by far the least interesting looking of Cell's three forms, but his fighting style/moveset was literally just a rough draft of Perfect Cell's from what I recall. I don't remember him being any different in that regard, so there would be little to no reason to include him. IMperfect Cell, however, should DEFINITELY have made the roaster. His fighting style was WILDELY different than Perfect Cell's. Particularly, he used his tail extensively in combat, usually as a finishing move. That tail of his was his killer app. In fact, he was different in just about every way imaginable. The fact that Arc System Works didn't include Imperfect Cell as a playable character is a travesty to the Dragon Ball fanbase. There's also another Cell fighter who I would put on my wishlist as a replacement for Semi-Perfect Cell. Or, rather, one of several identical fighters: Cell Jr. Cell Jr was basically just one of several generic, identical foot soldiers created by Cell himself, but that's what makes him (them) cool. I feel like anonymous foot soldiers like Twelve from Street Fighter or assassin & Berserker from Soul Calibur as well as Piranha Plant (Smash Ultimate) are widely underutilized in fighting games. Plus, Cell Jr. was no weakling, with each possessing a power level of 8 billion, which is something like ten times higher than that of even Imperfect Cell himself. I think Cell Jr. would be an awesome choice for these reasons. He could basically just be a smaller, speedier clone of Perfect Cell, which already makes him a more distant fighter than Semi-perfect Cell, who was just a literal clone (not to mention a strictly inferior one) in terms of his fighting style & abilities in the Anime. There's three more characters I want to add to my personal wishlist: Pan, Uub, and Mecha Frieza, as well as maybe Mecha Cooler, too (don't know as much about that last one, though...he was only featured in one of the spin-oof movies I think). Pan's omission is a particularly jarring when you consider what an absolute sausage fest Dragon Ball Fighter Z's roaster is. In fact, Dragon Ball overall as a franchise has always been a sausage fest now that I think about it, but maybe that's a good thing since it leaves less opportunities for any Mary Sues like those retarded Miyazaki leading ladies like Naussicca and such. And Uub should be a playable fighter because he is literally the strongest human fighter in Dragon Ball lore, so it makes absolutely no sense for Arc System Works to have left him out of the roaster.

Plus he thinks there are people trying to turn Earth into a concrete hell. He's crazy.Centipede, I have good news for you: you're wrong. I'm not crazy. Concrete hells actually exist as a concept and IRL. They're called ecumenopolis, or "concrete dystopias" as I like to vaguely label them. Behold: "Coruscant: the entire planet is one big city!" -Ric Olie Source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EcumenopolisYou can find many examples of them in various works of science fiction, namely Star Wars. These examples include Coruscant, Nar Shaddaa, Nal Hutta, Hosnian Prime, Ord Mantell (AKA "the garbage planet"), Cybertron, and Robotnik's Little Planet from Sonic CD. And you can find examples of concrete dystopias in the real world, too. All forms of urban sprawl can be considered concrete dystopias. But there are even better IRL examples that actually existed until recently. The three most infamous examples include the Cabrini-Green Housing Complex in Illinois, the Pruitt-Igoe Housing Complex in Missouri, and the Kowloon Walled City in Hong Kong, China. Even in 2023 there are hundreds of millions of examples of human beings who just want to build, build, build, expand, expand, expand, develop, develop, & develop just like brainwashed ants. A good example is Balder and Statogustav. " I don't think we are 8 billion yet, and our planet can easily hold 12 billion. No worries in that." -Strat " 12 billion people are a lot of fucking people, and while that is bad, it won't end the human race. Yes some compromises might be needed, but technology will prevail." -Balder That quote from Balder is classic first world stupidity at its finest. I dropped all respect for him not long after he said that. Turned out he never had any credibility to begin with. So, just to clarify: YES, there are a LOT of people who want to turn Earth into a concrete hell. I am not crazy, there are people like this.
