Once upon a time, Disney wasn't thought of as an all-consuming megacorp, hellbent on world domination. Rather, its games. Here are some of them
Disney released many in the 16-bit days, but let's look at the Mickey focused ones first. Do you have any memories of these?

Castle of Illusions was one of my first Genesis games. Damn near perfect platformer. World of Illusions came later and was a bit different but still good; good co-op game.

I played the Super Nintendo versions and they were quite fantastic. These games had spectacular platforming engagement, which at the time was surprisingly expected from Disney titles after the timeless success of the NES DuckTales.

I once rented it expecting a Castle/World of Illusion sequel. It was a truly sad weekend.

I'm more of a The Magical Quest guy over Castle of Illusion but both are good. Oddly I haven't the sequels of either.

Since both Fantasia and Castle of Illusion were both Mega Drive launch titles, you'd think Fantasia was still in its beta.
Castle of Illusion was a neat little platformer. It screams classic Disney, with this little jig Mickey does while idle, and also familiar enemies like the dancing mushrooms.
I have Mickey Mania. It's like Mickey Generations, where he's going through all his old cartoons, like the steamboat level and the nightmare keep where Pluto got kidnapped.
I've played both versions on MD and MS, and they've got different layouts and enemies.

I bought the Fantasia cart for Genesis back when I was a teen because I was a big fan of the film at the time. I never got around to playing it, though. I guess that's a good thing.

Now it wouldn't be so bad to play it for 10 mins just to see how awful it is, probably would have pissed you off as a teen after spending money on it though. lol

I sold it in a lot but I don't think I made any money on it. Meh, who cares. I made a $210 profit when I bought a copy of Bomberman 64 The Second Attack for $24 around that same time, which now goes for around $250 last time I checked. So I don't mind being burned a bit on a crappy game I never played, so long as it didn't lose me a fortune.

My son and scipioafricanus beat World of Illusion on the Genesis Mini 1 yesterday. It was cool to see the play through in person.
