What modern day technology do you think needs to be (urgently) downsized?
The three forms of technology that I believe NEED to be downsized ASAP are automobiles, refrigerators, and smart phones (bring back flip phones, dammit!)

There's actually a niche market for dumb phones, for minimalists and people who don't want to keep getting distracted by social media bloatware.

Remember when phones were fun? Remember when all cell phones were small, stylish & unique? Remember when cell phones didn't cause cancer and kill swaths of bumblebees? I remember. BRING BACK 1G FLIP PHONES!! I liked the time when phones made it easier to meet up with friends and cut off all the negative sides of house phones such as missed calls because you wasn't home. Now phones are everything to some people. They would rather be homeless than not own a phone. And bring back local couch co op!!!!!! |

I despise the smartphone industry so much that I actually decided to get a land phone instead of upgrade to a smartphone when my cellphone's 3G network got shut down a few months back. I decided I would rather discontinue my Verizon Wireless service than support the evil smart phone industry. Do not regret. |
