I was going to post a "Sgt. Kabukiman NYPD" movie this week. Because screw you guys!
It didn't happen because the only Youtube upload of it was in Spanish. So now I need to learn Spanish to watch it!
So, we're doing another Cobretti special, because he's "special (needs)".
Year: 1986
Starring: Dennis Hopper, Caroline Williams, Jim Siedow
Directed by: Tobe Hooper
Written by: L.M. Kit Carson, Tobe Hooper

Watched this back in 2021:
"The original The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a milestone and landmark in film history in general, not just horror. It defined the slasher genre along with Black Christmas and Halloween. It was a movie made of an incredibly small budget, however, that budget limitation became a breeding ground for creativity which ultimately resulted in a horrific looking movie that only added to the experience. How on earth was Tobe Hooper going to live up to that film? Well of course there was no way of that happening, however, he went a different route and made a horror comedy, and as far as horror comedies go, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 actually fares quite well. The villain characters from the original movie are whacky enough to where they naturally fit in with this new atmosphere. Sure, Leatherface is reduced to a retarded goon, but the rest of them are fucking hilarious. I love these characters, but what is even more impressive is that they actually introduce a hero character worthy of rooting for. This sheriff character, dual-wielding chainsaws that duels Leatherface with a chainsaw fight is both entertaining and freaking cool as hell. The film goes over the top and does not resemble much from the original movie with its emphasis on comedy and gore, but for what it is, it is at least a really fun experience. This movie could have been terrible, but it is not, and I commend it for that." 3.5/5

First thing to note about Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 is that Chop Top rules. Also this is a Cannon movie, which also rules. TCM2 also gave us the cure for hemorrhoids and reminds us that small businesses are always taking it up the ass. 5/5 on the Cobretti scale. Maybe not as good as the original but more batshit fun.
And please we need more Troma movies to talk about. I support Sgt. Kabukiman NYPD!

Sure, Leatherface is reduced to a retarded goon, but the rest of them are fucking hilarious. I think the preferred term, to quote Rocky Balboa, is Leatherface has a “relaxed brain.”

No, I'm going to peg with a cactus if you keep that up. Like small time businessman Drayton Sawyer, someone’s always gotta try and make me take it up the ass.

I'm finally going to watch it this week. I saw the first scene already, and the guy driving while half of his head falls down tells me this is very much a Cannon movie and Ill love it.
Also, I didn't know it had Dennis Hopper in it.
