I do like them too. Yes, masterpieces indeed. They made Orlando Bloom believe himself to be Link at some point. youtu.be/b9gQ-gqVWp4New Zelda games are awesome too though.

New Zelda games are awesome too though. The BotW games do look fun, but I think a lot of people understate just how influential OoT (and by principle Majora's Mask since it's practically a stand-alone expansion of OoT) was. The dark-fantasy manga art direction of OoT inspired too many imitators to count. I feel like From Software would barely be a name in the industry if it wasn't for OoT, considering that so many of their games drew heavy inspiration from it. Some of their earlier games like Ever Grace were basically direct knock offs. Also, Zelda 2, OoT and Majora's Mask had something that BotW doesn't: BALLS. All three of these games were way darker and (in the case of MM and Zelda 2) way harder than BotW. Nintendo truly took an audacious approach when making these three specific Zelda games. They were different in that they weren't afraid to challenge gamers, unlike the other Zelda games, which all felt more mainstream to me.

Yeah, OoT is very surreal, an incredible masterpiece considering all the hardware limitations. Those NES Zelda games I still need to explore.
