Has anyone here ever perused the ProBoards main site? It is quite interesting to see the state of other forums. Although it is sad to see dead forums, there is a lot to learn from forums that have thrived as well. There's a lot going on outside of our bubble.

Were there any other boards that took your fancy?

In ProBoards support, there was a group testing an upgrade to the site, but they paused trials and moving forward with the upgrade due to budget cuts. Those who were working on the upgrade are sharing scripts to make this version better.
Other boards included naming babies and why Nevaeh should never be uttered in that forum. Another was dedicated to finding a man from Michigan's murderer. Classic computing and gaming forums exist, but they are mostly abandoned and flooded with spam. I also noticed that active forums that have been around longer than us have quite a list of rules posted front and center.

We are the best forum on the platform. We may lack numbers, but we compensate on quality and on wood finish.

We are the best forum on the platform. We may lack numbers, but we compensate on quality and on wood finish. Now that Mark is back on YouTube again, I wonder if any of the old guys would return? I'd love to see new faces around here too. There are a lot of kids who are extremely interested in retro gaming.
