Oh man, I've watched it so many years ago that I barely remember anything. The first movie was slightly better, but Scott Adkins is a damn good action hero in both (the man knows how to fight), even though he has no moustache, so Franco Nero still is the undefeated king of ninja moustaches to this day. This sequel is more focused in story and drama, with Casey's wife being murdered at the beginning and he going on a quest to both regain his focus and avenge her. I remember that while the first movie is more of the "urban ninja at night" kind, this one is more of the "tropical ninja in daylight" style, like Enter the Ninja. Kane Kosugi plays a pretty good villain and the action scenes are all good.
It's a bummer that these two Scott Adkins' movies got much less attention than Ninja Assassin (2009), as I remember them being much better in every way.

For some reason I never see Ninja movies on streaming services. This is a genre that is very underexposed.

This was a pretty good flick. Nothing too deep, with some brief but nice action sequences. But it's crazy to think the MC needed right be 'motivated' like he was. It was beyond dicking!

Since we've been talking about so many ninja movies, here's something that should have been posted by now: the last practitioner of ninjitsu reacts to ninjitsu in movies:
This was a very eye opening lecture for me personally because I had always been misled about the truth of ninjitsu by movies and especially video games. Movies and games depict ninjitsu as a form of fighting, or martial art. In reality, it was actually strictly a form of espionage; any actual fighting techniques used by ninja was just resorting to samurai style of sword fighting. If a ninja had to resort to fighting, it basically means that they failed the mission. Ninjas were never used as assassins, only spies, and detection/discovery was an instant mission failure.
If he complains that much about ninjitsu in movies and TV, just imagine what he would think of ninjitsu in games. Looking back, I don't think I've played a single video game that even came close to getting ninjas right. In video games, ninjitsu is ALWAYS portrayed as a martial art, ESPECIALLY in fighting games like Dead or Alive (that's another reason to dislike Dead or Alive). Even beat-em-ups and platformers like Ninja Gaiden and Shinobi have absolutely nothing to do with real life ninjitsu. This just goes to show how much the entertainment industry lies to us about everything. I've learned to be skeptical about all this stuff as I see it on my screen.
It makes perfect sense that he's planning on laying the practice of ninjitsu to rest, as it really doesn't have any usage in modern day society whatsoever since technology like microphones, cameras and drones completely fill the purpose of a ninja and render ninjitsu totally irrelevant.

As a black belt (3rd Degree) in the Dux-Ryu ninjitsu system, everything said here is bullshit. Ninja 3: The Domination is the most accurate portrayal of ninjitsu in movies ever.

I hate to break it to you, but that "ninjitsu" you studied isn't actually ninjitsu. It's bullshit. You went to the "Hollywood upstairs medical college" equivalent of a ninjitsu dojo. Many of these american "dojos" have been exposed as fake (just look at Steven Seagal's). People have even been making videos on this subject recently: The way I see it, I can either choose to believe ninja grandmaster Jinichi Kawakami about ninjitsu, I could choose to believe the entertainment industry about ninjitsu, or I can choose to believe americans about ninjitsu. Yeah, I think I'll stick with the former.

Yeah, I think I'll stick with the former. Obviously you’ve never studied under a true Grandmaster like Frank Dux or Stephen K. Hayes like I have. I can’t even be shot by bullets because I’ve learned how the harness my chi. You learn that in the Dux-Ryu system. I can also breath underwater and can disappear. J

Its ninjas suck at fighting, so they have to move within the shadows, be stealthy, silent killers and remain unseen. Like cowards. ... Which is why Ninja Gaiden is still the most realistic portrayal in video games. Ninjas use their power to fly around cutting heads and Izuna Dropping people who explode in ludicrous gibs: cobretti - Wasn't Frank Dux portrayed by Van Damme in that documentary called Bloodsport? Love that film, one of the best journalistic documentaries ever done about underground fighting, I learned a lot from it.

Now I would suggest you never mess with me, because I know the forbidden techniques of the Dim Mak death touch. I wouldn't let you mess with me out of common sense because you're an oversized american who outweighs me by hundreds (?) of pounds, not because your Frank Dux style fighting is a legitimate threat. "Obviously you’ve never studied under a true Grandmaster like Frank Dux or Stephen K. Hayes like I have." That's true. But when you study under a pompous fraud like Frank Dux, you don't have much merit, do you? News flash: he's an american swindler who lied about everything and conned people into buying his fake martial arts. Even WWF fighters are more real than his career is/was. Source: Frank Dux is the headlining subject of this video essay on fake martial arts and their effectiveness in MMA fighting. Even sumo wrestling, capoeria and tai chi, all now known to be low tier forms of martial arts, have yielded at least some legitimate results as forms of self defense compared to Dux Ninjitsu. I keep providing facts against your defense of Dux ninjitsu and you haven't given me any proof that it isn't anything other than a total load of hocus pocus.

I watched the first one and it kinda sucked so I didn't bother with part 2. The 80's Ninja movies are still the best ones even though if you want Ninja I suggest anime.

You know nothing about ninjas or Frank Dux. The only hocus pocus is the BALONY coming from you. Sensei Dux is the real deal. Have you ever even seen Bloodsport? You wouldn’t say any of this messed up stuff to me or Sensei Dux to our face because you’d be entering a world of pain.

I grew up on Jackie Chan flicks like Rush Hour, Shanghai Noon, Shanghai Knights, and The Tuxedo. These were his shitty western films where he wasn't allowed to perform 95% of the stunts he requested and he was forced to co-star with cringy socialite losers like Owen Wilson, but even so Jackie showed me what a real martial artist is capable of: doing real stunts and martial arts, something those fake, oversized roid-using assholes from 80s Hollywood like Stallone and Schwarzenegger know nothing of. You've raving about the supposed martial arts of oriental myth Senzo Tanaka for weeks now, but I never hear you give any credit to confirmed real life oriental martial art champions like Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. Any particular reason why you have not acknowledged the certified martial artistry of Chan or Lee?
