....a Fire Emblem fighting game featuring nothing but FE lords and villains as playable characters?
People always joked that in the future all Smash games would feature nothing but Fire Emblem characters because of how heavily saturated the series' roaster had become with the FE lords. But after seeing Arc System Works' DB Fighter Z, I have realized that they would be the perfect modern developer for the job of making a 2D fighter out of the FE universe.
And by this point, FE has gone on so long that you could pile all the lords into a single fighting game and they alone, not even including the series villains, could form a roaster of, like, two dozen playable characters by my estimates? And if you include major villains like Zelgius, the Black Knight, King Ashnard, etc., then you would have a Capcom Versus worthy roaster of 40+ fighters, easily.
I feel like out of all the Nintendo franchises, the FE series has the most potential for a proper crossover/spinoff fighting game.
