It is so sad this happens. I have a friend that does stunts, and she says this is nothing, a lot of people actually lose their lives making action movies, and they just keep it quite. She knows because she is also a stunt actress. Here is the article from GameSpot:
"In September, stunt performer Olivia Jackson was seriously injured on the set of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. After being placed in a medically induced coma for two weeks, she subsequently posted on Facebook that she was slowly recovering from her injuries. Jackson has now provided a further update, revealing that she will need to have an arm amputated."My left arm is paralysed and is going to have to be amputated," she told the The Sun newspaper (via Yahoo Movies). "My facial scarring is horrible and I wish I had my old face. But I'm truly grateful to be alive."
Jackson was acting as a stunt double for star Milla Jovovich on the South African set of the sixth part of the Resident Evil movie series. She collided with a camera crane while performing a motorcycle stunt, an injury that was so bad that Jovovich said it was "a miracle she survived."
Jackson's Facebook post in October detailed the extent of her injuries, which included "brain bleed[ing], brain swelling, severed main artery in the neck, crushed and degloved face, several broken ribs, paralyzed arm, shattered scapula, broken clavicle, broken humerus, broken radius and ulna, with an open wound and a 7.5 piece of bone missing, [and an] amputated thumb."
Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is set to be released in January 2017, and is once more directed by Paul WS Anderson. The previous Resident Evil film, 2012's Retribution, grossed $240 million worldwide, and the series has to date made more than $915 million globally."

I have never heard the term "degloved" used with the word "face" before this. This is horrible.

It is, I just found more related on the Daily News:
"More real-life horror has visited the set of "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" with the death of a crew member on the film's South African set.
Ricardo Cornelius, 34, died on Dec. 3 from injuries sustained when a Hummer used in the film reportedly toppled and crushed him during a safety check, South Africa's IOL News first reported.
"We already bought his Christmas clothes and shoes," his widow, Shafiefa, "I buried him in his Christmas clothes."
Shafiefa Cornelius told the outlet that doctors had said her husband's "lungs were completely flat and he was bleeding a lot."
The military vehicle apparently toppled on the South African man when a platform tipped incorrectly causing the vehicle to slide off it.
"We are all deeply shocked and saddened by this tragic accident, which was out of anyone's control," a Constantin Film spokesperson told Entertainment Weekly.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with his family."
The film is the sixth installment of the horror action franchise starring Milla Jovovich based on the popular video game."

That is terrible. I think they should stop the production, i'm not pointing my fingers at anyone, but maybe they should double and triple check their safety.

These are old news from the Holidays when they were filming, I'm just finding out now. It doesn't take away the fact how horrible it is that this continues to happen on a regular basis in most action movies and no one really cares.

It sucks that this kind of thing still happens. One actor that I liked and died in a set accident was Kevin Smith (who played the god Ares in Xena: Warrior Princess).
People who do stunts sadly don't get half the recognition they deserve.
Also, what the hell is happening in this movie? I don't think it should be acceptable to have two accidents so serious in a modern film.

The sad thing is that all this is done to please us. Making another action movie based on Resident Evil. It is harder and harder to impress people. It is a sad cycle indeed. Before: After: At least she is still alive. The guy from the different accident died.

It's sad, but they don't call them stunts for nothing. It's a dangerous job but there isn't much you can do about that.

I've heard of stuntmen dying before, but 2 separate incidents in one film is crazy to me.

Hey! I didn't know that. I'm not terribly surprised, but still... And I agree with Cervantes, stunt actors get no recognition, and they're often doing some of the better scenes in movies too. It sucks this situation took place, did Capcom even need to keep this dumber than dumb movie series keep going?

It is not just that movie, it is game related so I brought it up, it really happens all across the board of Hollywood movies, they just keep it quite.
It may reach audiences once in a while when it leaks out or main actors are involved, like for example when the psychological weight of The Joker's character on Heath Ledger brought him to death, or when a bullet was authentic in "The Crow" killing the protagonist Brandon Lee in real life.
It is something to reflect, the fact that people lose their lives to entertain us is probably worse than what cattle animals suffer to feed us, and that's saying a lot.

It doesn't take away the type of society we have to built on, it's and has always been a mad world.

And she was pretty, too! Now that she has only one arm I don't think as many men will be attracted to her, and the stress of the accident clearly has taken a toll on her looks (she looks about 10 years older in the second photo). Very sad. And all for some shitty RE flick. Someone needs to pay for her injuries.

Nah that's just how girls look without makeup. I'm sure they have some kind of insurance on people that have those jobs. Still, losing an arm must be very hard for her. Motorcycles and cars are not a joke.
