The last great John Wick movie. It built upon the original, upped the action in meaningful ways and had a story that made sense, something the third and fourth movie failed at.

I just rewatched these movies last week, and I absolutely loved 2. The sister cutting her wrists was a bit hard to watch. This movie was dripping with style, and I couldn't wait for more. Why didn't you like 3, Balder? It had some unnecessary dialogue , which was not a thing in 1 and 2, but besides that, I thought it was pretty damn cool.

I felt like the third movie should have wrapped up the series. It would have been a great trilogy as the first film brings Wick back to business, the second film sees him falling out with the Continental and the third movie should be him facing off the Continental and winning. Instead we get this weak ass ending of the third film where Wick falls off a building just to make another sequel. Also, I found it pandering to cast Laurence Fishburne without actually utilizing him. This character does nothing but sleep on the street, why not actually do something cool with him? It does have great action though, so I'll cut it some slack, but the 4th film is even worse.

Even the more silly Wick movies are badass to me, it's hard not to like the way these films are made. Lots of kills, you can't go wrong.

I just finished watching the 3 episodes of The Continental on Peacock. It was pretty damn good! There were some issues, and it wasn't as good as the movies. I didn't like the cop's story, and I think Mel Gibson was underutilized.
BUT it sure as hell had its style.
The 1970s NY motif was awesome. I loved the history behind Winston's eventual takeover of the hotel. Of note: Yen, played by Nhung Kate. Her stare made me fear for the lives of everyone involved. I hope to God she gets more work.
What a great mini-series.
