I'm watching the colourised version of the 1947 version. From what I remember of the 1994 version, it was a pretty faithful adaptation.
I'm not done watching yet, but currently up to the part where Mom is explaining why she doesn't let her kid believe in Santa and she mentions he divorce. My brain started extrapolating and now I see the movie actually going somewhere.
