Today, we take a look back at some of the people who passed, even discreetly, in recent years. Kenpachiro Satsuma, suit actor for Godzilla, 1947 - 2023 Kevin Conroy, voice actor of Batman, 1995 - 2022 Richard Moll, voice actor for Two-Face, 1943 - 2023 Arleen Sorkin, voice actor for Harley Quinn, 1955 - 2023 Rieko Kodama, po 1963 - 2022 Kodama, who was also known as Phoenix Rie, contributed to a huge range of games during her time at Sega. She was hired at the company in 1984, contributing art to Champion Boxing, and went on to do the same for titles like Sonic the Hedgehog and the original Phantasy Star. Kodama later directed titles like Phantasy Star IV, though is probably best known as the producer of cult-classic JRPG Skies of Arcadia and the 7th Dragon series. Feel free to add more.

Oh man, thanks for making this thread. It was really sad losing all those Batman voices. I had read about Kenpachiro Satsuma, too. Rieko Kodama's death was terribly sad, I remember it was only disclosed a few months later after her passing. I was still hopeful that Sega would work with her, at some point, on a new single-player Phantasy Star, a Skies of Arcadia sequel or (better yet) on a new RPG series, I think she deserved more space for her creativity within Sega. Maybe it's time to finally complete that Phantasy Star marathon that I intended to do.

I didn't realize Arleen Sorkin died until I started playing the Arkham Trilogy and it said in memory of Arleen Sorkin and Kevin Conroy. This is the first I've heard of Richard Moll dying. This sucks...

Cervantes 58 years means Ms. Kodama getting on, but not old enough to just drop off. I wonder if it was karoshi ('work to death'). dschult3 Fun fact: she got her Harley Quin credentials from a role in a show called Days of our Lives, which has been a favourite of my mum's for decades. soapoperanews.com: "Sorkin started her career as part of the comedy group The High-Heeled Women in the late 1970s and early 1980s. She played several prominent roles, including Calliope Jones on Days of Our Lives from 1984–1990, 1992, 2006, and 2010, Geneva on Duet, and was the original female co-host on America's Funniest People. Sorkin also wrote for Tiny Toon Adventures and co-wrote the screenplay for Picture Perfect. She provided the inspiration and voice for the animated character Harley Quinn in Batman: The Animated Series and other DC projects. From 1995 until her death, Sorkin was married to television writer-producer Christopher Lloyd, with whom she had two sons, Eli and Owen."

cobretti Jerry Springer's gone? And did that show really go until 2018? We used to get that here, but then BING, it was gone by the mid 2000's. ------------------------------ “My show is what it is,” Springer said in a 2018 interview. “My show is stupid…[But] we all have moments in our life when we are not at our best. What is interesting is that famous people can do the exact same things as people do on my show, or even worse, and we put them on late-night TV, we buy their albums and books, cheer them as heroes. On our show, people talk about exactly the same thing, but because they are not rich, famous, or good-looking, and don’t speak the Queen’s English, we call them trash.” ------------------------------

However, I stopped when a person left their girlfriend, because he was in a relationship with a fish. That was the dumbest thing I had ever seen on TV. Oh, and I had a friend who went to tapings of the show. Springer's quote is hilarious here. They were all local actors at one point. A racist in the first episode would turn into a "loser baby daddy" 45 minutes later, while the MC encouraged the crowd to chant "fight" or "Steeeeeeeeeve" at times. The whole show was fake. It was probably real in the 80s, but that didn't last long. What an era for TV.

Virgil (1962-2024)Virgil was valet for the Million Dollar Man, and member of the greatest faction of all time, the nWo. RIP Virgil and its always nWo 4 life. (True story: I met Virgil in the early days of his legendary convention appearances and we sifted through some Japanese wrestling VHS tapes and talked wrestling, as his booth was across from the bootleg tape trader that was selling the tapes. He was a cool dude to me)

Lewis was a great comedian and my favorite character in Curb your Enthusiasm... I'm really sad about it.
